Reliable sources have had info of negative situations which are still unconfirmed, could have happened and been avoided, may not be avoided and may not have been an issue at all but...
We are League One Champions, had a fantastic season, singing 'We Are The Champions' and 'we've got our Charlton back' while Sir Chris Powell gave us his biggest smile yet holding the trophy above his head.
Now looking forward to the Championship, bigger teams coming to the Valley, bigger crowds, sold out matches against our rivals and we have that lovely ingredient called momentum.
Our academy is being heavily invested in and that's a great sign for the future.
So many positives that are confirmed to focus on rather than negative speculation that may never be!

I think the team we had last season can improve and I'd like to see how much they do. Of course, I'd like to see one or two of the right quality come in, but no more. What I'd hate to see is key players go. I honestly believe we have the ingredients for an excellent season,so playing wise, at themoment I am very relaxed about things.

Given the title of this thread, can we ask that only positive-thinking posters respond to comments here?
No. It would never happen. The doom-and -gloom merchants will soon be on here dragging us down.
Whatever is happening in the Boardroom, it's not anything that any one of us can be involved in.
No amount of gnashing of teeth or blind guesswork on our part counts for much.
And anyway, it'll eventually sort itself out one way or another.
Meanwhile, I agree ...... let's celebrate what we have.
And there are many, many positives.
Pre-season starts Thursday!
The brief was made clear to us before we bought those in - get players that could a) get us up and b) be competetive in the Championship. Looking at the players, I think the club did a much better job than I anticipated at the time and I can't undertsand people worrying about next season. The biggest disaster could be bringing players in and not giving the quality we have the chance to improve further and shine.
But there are some holes in the team ......as a unit, our midfield isn't up to Championship standard.
Secondly, there isn't enough pace throughout the team, particularly at CB and wide midfield.
And that's before we look at squad cover for players like Jacko, Solly and Yann.
Expect essential signings in the next few weeks.
Ambrose, Holland, Zheng Zhi, Semedo and Reid
No pace there either
Not saying that we don't need to strengthen the squad - just that there's no need to panic - Lge 1 champs, settled side, good team spirit and the potential to perfrom on the championship stage
And I love the positivity of the poster too, I remember when we were first relegated from the Premiership and the shock and confusion I felt at then being relegated a 2nd time - this spell in the Championship will be a lot better I'm sure and the signings will come, its not like we need a totally new team - just more options.
Cobblers to the bright side
brackets close brackets
...plus all this weird shit in the boardroom and administration.
Agree with Oggy on our midfield and lack of pace in the team. Realistically we don't have that many options in midfield. Our "best" midfield of Green Stephens Hollands Jackson simply doesn't work as a midfield 4, I'm certain it won't work any better in the Champ.
Only other options are Wagstaff and Pritchard, as I can't see Hughes getting near the team regularly. Remember Russell, Cook, N'Guessan and Ephraim all played a part last season.
Altogether now!!!
Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...
And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...
If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.
And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life...
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow.
So always look on the bright side of death
Just before you draw your terminal breath
Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the right side of life...
(Come on guys, cheer up!)
Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)
Always look on the bright side of life...
(I mean - what have you got to lose?)
(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!)
Always look on the right side of life...
Only other options are Wagstaff and Pritchard, as I can't see Hughes getting near the team regularly. Remember Russell, Cook, N'Guessan and Ephraim all played a part last season.
Or 4-1-3-2, with Stephens being the 'Pirlo' of the Championship?????
All together !
