  • I watched Walking with….Jim Moir ( Vic Reeves ) last Saturday morning on Beeb2 and thought it was the most chilled out bit of TV I’ve ever seen. Half an hour of Jim walking in Kent with a selfie stick to film his meandering's was probably the best bit of escapism over 30 mins I have seen on the telly.
  • David o’doherty cycling with others was the same vibe. Positive nonsense but lots of giggling. Would love another series.

Will check out Vic walking as sounds like something we’d love.
  • Walking with Jim Muir was interesting as he walked past a couple of places I didn’t know existed but are right on the doorstep. Plus he went to Dungeness, one of my favourite places for some reason.

David o Doherty cycled there in the first ep.

Went to Dungeness for the first time between Xmas and new year last year. Loved it so may do the same again this year.

I’m on episode four of season five of Gomorrah and the guy who plays Ciro has directed all of them so far.
    Just finished them all.

    Wow.
Yeah, finished them as well. I was shouting ‘Sh*tting hell!’ at the telly a lot.
  • Waiting to read opinion on “the girl before” before I watch.
Last night was interesting but too early to judge. Just about to watch tonight’s episode so will update later.
Finished the series tonight. Very enjoyable and I thought well worth a watch.
Watched the first two episodes last night - glad it doesn't turn into a damp squib.
  • Spoiler….

Gennaro: ‘I wouldn’t make any plans, L’l Monk. Rats like you don’t last very long.’
  • The girl before was excellent.

yep, will enjoy that over Christmas, will make a change from the dark and grisly Scandi stuff I usually watch. Speaking of which, I really like Witch Hunt (All4) which you reccoed, not least because it is extremely tense, but  no human being is physically harmed in the narrative, apart from a car crash. Though I am saving the final episode. One problem I had with it is the usual one with Norway or Denmark, the small pool of actors. I'd just finished Home Ground, the brilliant football drama, and no less than three prominent members of the Varg FC squad are also prominent in Witch Hunt. 🤣

Algiers Confidential (SBS) suffered from a poor final episode. Red Election (SBS) is pretty good but somehow disjointed, and a bit derivative of Spooks. I'm starting Furia on SBS, another Norwegian dark politics one. Will report.

Been enjoying the Girl Before but partly because I'd read the book, so it's interesting to see what others think of it.

I have spent a good proportion of it thinking why would you not just move out?!

  • My recommendation back in 2013, Adobe Revel, went onto become the basis for the cloud based storage version of Adobe Lightroom.

Which I’d also recommend if photography and accessing your images on all devices is of interest to you.

If you've not seen any of the others I recommend the Chris Packham one. Really interesting and speaks so openly about his struggles with mental health issues. Also enjoyed the Alastair Campbell one too.

The fact that there was no awful background music made it more atmospheric. I hope he makes more films like this.
  • Morecambe and wise.

Haven’t you seen Lightroom on Netflix?

Haha, I was wondering where my post went!
  • Looking forward the the Bobba Fett series which starts on Disney+ on the 29th.

Ooh thanks for the reminder 🙏🏻🤗
  • Started 1883 a couple of days a go and think it's excellent.
Whether the fact I never heard of or watched Yellowstone is going to confuse things further down the line I don't know?

Watched this this morning. A promising introduction - thought it was slightly short though!

  • Finished watching A Very British Scandal on Iplayer - a truly vile set of characters. Claire Foy is superb as the Duchess of Argyll.
  • Got one episode of Landscapers left to watch. Have really enjoyed it so far.

Did you have a hot chocolate?
  • Anyone seen death to 2021 (I've only just seen death to 2020!) On Netflix? Basically Charlie Brookers end of year screenwipe with an actual budget. Very funny

Yes, agree with that. It could be good. I need to see a few more episodes to be sure.
  • New Crime Documentary on Netflix, murder at times square (or something along that lines). If that's your thing? I am one episode in

Nice! I was browsing Netflix other day and saw it was being released. Wasn’t expecting it until later into 2022 so nice bonus.

Saw something recently that seemed to suggest that S4 and S5 had been shot back to back, so might get the latter earlier than this time next year.
