Jimmy Floyd Piggy Bank

I loved the quote in today's Telegraph:

Even Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was full of running and enthusiasm,

a coaching achievement worthy of manager of the season.

  • The ball to Benty was class, right weight (the ball that is) he didn't have to break stride.
  • To be fair i've been a big critic of his this season but i though he was top class yesterday
  • The pass to benty which led to the goal was quality.

At the reserves game a few weeks back he did exactly the same ball in exactly the same place to Ali John and it led to the first goal i believe.

Obviously has no pace, but what he can do , he does well.

So was his tackle that won the ball in the first place!
  • Oggy I saw the same quote...LOL

Cannot fault JFH for effort...quality is permanent...
  • And he really deserved a goal in the second half - a blinder which hit the post, and another which screamed just over - would have burst the net if it had gone in. (Hope whoever in the Covered End was in the firing line managed to duck in time.) Encouraging to see him linking up well with Baby too. Need him to keep it up - Marcus could be out for a while with what looked like a hamstring problem.
