CP getting the L1 LMA Manager of the Season award was a dead cert so obviously well done to him. Pardew getting the Prem LMA Manager of the Season award is fair enough I suppose although i've no idea how he managed it.
What I dont agree with is how Pardew also got the overall LMA Manager of the Season award. That should also have gone to Chris Powell. `Pound for pound', his achievements this season have out stripped everyone else, no question.
It's fantastic news, but to be fair if anyone other than Chris had got it, it would have been a complete travesty. To get over 100 points with a team completely build from scratch is simply amazing.
I think Pardew was unbelievably lucky that at the time they made the decision the Premiership hadn't been decided. They couldn't give it to Fergie in case Man City won the league. They couldn't give it to Mancini in case Man Utd won. So its Pardew by default.
CP interview on the OS makes me love the man even more:
"It's a special club this place. People say I would say that as I've played here and managed here, but I don't know too many clubs like this to have been through what we've been through and keep coming back."
Pardew did a great job, you can't argue with him getting PL manager of the season. To achieve 5th with the money spent, and team they put out is commendable.
Of our current team, it's difficult to tell who would make a good manager without being in the dressing room. Pritchard is clearly the most educated person there though, maybe that will help? Doesn't Michael Morrison manage a Sunday team, which is good grounding.

No surprises there either.

Well done, SCP.
Still baffled why Pardew gets it - one day his true colours will show through again...

I could see Danny Hollands making a good manager - very grounded, but also extremely competitive/ committed to winning.
