For Sale - Rhoys Wiggins' match worn boots and pants - For Upbeats

Never let it be said Charlton Life is afraid to push to boundaries and offer prizes you just can't get elsewhere.

The auction ends on Wednesday 16 May at 5.00pm. The boots are in Glasgow and the pants in Bromley so winners will need to arrange postage or be willing to collect.

Please listen carefully, I am only going to say this once.

You can bid for either boot separately or you can bid for both boots or you can bid for the pair. In order to win Lot C - The pair of boots - then your bid will have to equal or exceed the combined total of the highest bids for Lots A and B. Please only bid in round £s. No pence bids allowed.

Lot D is a stand alone auction not connected to boots.

At the request of the Wiggins the Welsh Wing Wizard himself the money raised will all go to the Charlton Upbeats Down's Syndrome team. He was so impressed by how much Morrison and Taylor's shirt's raised (£600 in total) that he offered Weegie Addick a pair of his boots which he duly handed over before the Hartlepool game. Many thanks to Weegie for looking after the boots and for the pics.

Happy Bidding

Lot A Rhoys Wiggins' match worn LEFT boot. It is Adidas AdiZero, size 8 and is signed. It has clearly been worn – scuffs and creases – though not sure which matches! Opening bid is £20

Lot B Rhoys Wiggins' match worn RIGHT boot. As above it is Adidas AdiZero, size 8 and is signed. It has clearly been worn – scuffs and creases – though not sure which matches! Opening bid is £20

Lot C The PAIR of Rhoys Wiggins match worn boots ie Lots A and B combined as detailed above. To win the pair your bid must equal or exceed the combined highest bids for A & B. Opening bid £40

Lot D A pair of signed pants worn at the Carlisle promotion game by Rhoys Wiggins. The donor has asked that he remain anonymous! These were given to the Lifer after the Carlisle game when he requested Rhoys' shorts. The pants were inside. They have subsequently been washed which may increase or decrease the value to some "specialist" collectors. They are large and had RWs squad number (16) on them. He has since signed them. An unique prize Starting bid £4

Interesting tactical bidding from Shirty5 there.

Tango is still winning as combination of A £55 and B £0 is less than the £100 bid but is someone bid £45 or more for B that would all change.

  • Nice boots , should fetch a tidy sum for the upbeats ,
Pants! ...i'm in for £7 please Henry.
  • Henry are you really asking us to bid for a pair of used m&s underpants?

£20 for your sheer cheek (no pun intended)
  • A £55 Shirty5

    B no bid

    C £100 Tangoflash

M & S? These arent M& S pants these are Authentic Clothing Company pants which some young trendy person on CL will tell us is tres chic

  • There's no way that I'd want to bid for a pair of old skid-catchers; best wishes to those that do though. I am intrigued by the picture though (never imagined I'd say that). It's the little number 16 on them that caught my eye. Does that mean that the whole squad go out in numbered underpants?
  • They can't be chic, Henry, because I recognise the label.

Still, as I said, I am prepared to offer you £20 for your cheek if you inbox me the bank details

I will do so when the auction ends IF you win. Plenty of time for someone to top your £20 bid yet.

  • I guess you're right Henry, I'd just never considered undies to be part of the kit. I'd like to think that they all have iron on labels in the back of their shirts like this.

Sorry, Henry, I can't let go because it makes me look rather stupid.

I was offering you a donation, not bidding for a pair of used underpants, hence the "inbox me".

I'm sure someone else will bid far more than £20 for this fine, although apparently not "lucky", pair of underpants.
  • I've sniffed the boots.... not the pants tho.
  • I thought a few of the ladies , who liked his tackle, would have been queuing up to bid on Rhoy's 'Lucky pants' :-0
  • I've got rather attached to the boots, so

    B £50

I'm resisting the temptation on the pants, though!!
  • A. 55 of the queens pounds.
  • OK,

So right now shirty and weegie are getting a boot each as their combined bid is £5 more than Tango's £100 offer for the pair.

MIA is still pants man @£7
