East London Derby?

edited February 2007 in General Charlton
As quoted by Gary Lineker on MOTD.

Good Grief! What an idiot.

  • I'm surprised he even knows where Charlton is.
  • And according to Jonathan Pearce, Richard Murray is our "Deputy Chairman". Huh?

(And I'm pretty sure we've never sung Super Alan Curbishley either)

Last time I checked Murray was chairman of the plc board, but deputy chairman of the football company (club) board.

It's the same thing every year...
  • Let's hope they don't get the chance to say it next year, eh?

Oh of course. But it's a fairly academic distinction isn't it?

Back to the topic at hand, I was disappointed that we didn't have a rousing rendition of "We hate cockneys" today, just to confuse the media.
  • I also noticed that as Lineker was introducing the "East London derby", a comedian at the BBC put the Charlton and Spurs badges up on the screen behind him..
  • And what was the Tottenham badge about?

They are the other East London club!

We didn't play WH at all today, it's all been a dream!
