Dear whoever is responsible nowadays,
1. Since Saturday was all about the day rather than the game, could you please put up a highlights package which includes the pre and post match shenanigans?
2. When it comes to the season highlights, (and next season's Player) could you please give some thought to the audio commentary to the footage? Personally I think the current arrangement, where a not-very-good commentator alternates between background comment and "I'm doing this live, honest" commentary, is the worst of all worlds. Instead you could either
- get somebody good to do each game story -telling style (i.e not pretending to commentate as if live)
- or do what I saw Late Kick Off do..they overlaid Phil Parry's radio commentary on to the TV footage. Of course only if there is Phil Parry or one of the better ones. There are two Jamies, one is very good if excitable, the other one is dire and has to be reminded by Peter Finch that there is some action on the pitch
