I can't wait for the 2012/13 to start

edited May 2012 in General Charlton
I don't want to wish my life away but I can't wait for next season. There are going to be some cracking games to look forward to and rivalries to reignite. I just didn't want this season to end. Mrs McMoist has got her appetite back and wants to get a ST and I'm going to get VG to give myself a better chance of getting tickets for the most popular away games. Roll on July for the PSF's and roll on August for the new campaign...bring it on.

  • Its amazing how much I'm looking forward to being in the championship compared to how I felt after being relegated from the prem !!
We're out of the pub league, where when we won it didn't matter to anyone I knew but us and unless you lived in sheffield no one was interested in our result
At least next season you can have some banter with our local rivals that matter , although I know a lot more arsenal than orient fans so won't mind if that derby is resumed any time soon !
  • Fixtures out on June 18th at 9am.

Season starts 2 weeks later due to Olympics - 18th August. Sure to be more mid-week games then.

Championship Play-off FInal back to the late May Bank Holday after being played earlier this year due to Euro's.

April 7th - Johnstones Paint Trophy Final......Oh! We're not in it!!
  • Chrissy Powell has warned about getting too carried away in expecting us to go straight up again but you can tell he is thinking about that seriously. I think it is important that expectation levels are not to high next year so we can relax and enjoy the season, which I think will make it as memorable as this one for all of us.

Oh, I'm not getting carried away. I've got my Charlton back and I'm lovin' it. The last couple of years have been draining on the soul and I'd lost my appetite. I have my enthusiasm back, as does Mrs McMoist, and I didn't want the party to end on Saturday. It feels as if I've travelled back in time to May 1998.

I'll remember to see you for Brighton tickets then!!!

Yes come see me, or just wait for the general sale mate
  • First away game will be wolves away I reckon, cannot wait, had my season ticket renewed for my birthday, although I'm happy to be out of this league I'm sad to see ye season end because it has been one of the best seasons I've ever witnessed only coming second to the season we came 7th in prem, first time I've seen us lift a trophy and I won't forget it in a hurry!
I'll be happy if we stay in the league next season, I'm not going into it expecting anything, that way i'll enjoy it more!
  • It'll come around quickly, Euros and Olympics, plus hols considered.

So many great games, but can't wait for Palace, Millwall, Brighton (A), Wolves and Blackburn.
  • Anyone know the Carling Cup draw date? Often a few days before the league fixtures come out. Brighton away will be a sell-out. Many CAFC supporters will be disappointed with that game. Will be good to play a few sides we haven't played for a while.

Thinking of signing up for valley gold as well. As I have been to a fair number of away games this year but don't want to miss out next season. In terms of ticket restrictions this season, were valley gold members only allowed one ticket each or can they buy more than one?

When we only had 850 tickets for Brighton when we last played them it went to all season ticket holders and if my memory serves me right went to general sale, next year we will have 2750 tickets up for grabs. No doubt it will be a weeknight and maybe on sky so don't worry mate, if you have a season ticket you will be sorted for any away game next year!
  • Brighton are adding more seats to their ground, although that won't affect the away allocation
  • ?.. and I'm going to get VG to give myself a better chance of getting tickets for the most popular away games
    Also decided to get VG
