LEAGUE 2 CHAMPIONS 2011-2012. GLARING MISTAKE IN VALLEY REVIEW VERSUS HARTLEPOOL.

edited May 2012 in General Charlton
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this glaring mistake. In last Saturday's 'Champions' edition of the Valley Review half way down on page 5 under the heading 'club honours' we are listed as being league 2 champions for this season 2011-2012. All this on the very day we receive the league 1 trophy for being champions, in our very own programme as well.
After being top of league 1 since last September, 8 long months, You think someone would at least know what league we are playing in wouldn't you. I guess it's a case of too much bubbly too soon so forgiveness is extended. Just make sure you don't put division 1 champions when we are promoted from the championship to the premiership :)

  • Yeah, saw that last night. League two champions, some of the editing in this seasons VR has been appalling.
  • Couldn't agree more Popicon, let's hope for better things next season. Thanks for commenting.
  • Lots of us would not know . Arrived at the ground at 2.15 and all the programmes were sold out

I arrived at 2.40 and bought a programme. They may have sold out earlier behind the Covered end, but they were available in East and South stands till near kick off if not later.
  • I hope it's a sharper programme next season. It's been unchanged content-wise for about 4 years, although obv there's a good reason for that. The Championship isn't a great difference to revenue streams, but hopefully it will be a little different

The league table in the programme showed us as having played 46 games before meeting Hartlepool.

  • The annoying thing for me was the text on the spine was the wrong way round.
  • I remember one of the programme had the same manager notes as the previous one

Which they apologised on here for.

The communications team have been under tremendous pressure due to the cuts, yes it would be nice if there were no errors but they are few and far between, they have and always have worked hours far beyond the call of duty.
