MY highlight of the day

My mate and me shouting like excited schoolboys to Paddy Powell at the end (we are 50 and 48 years young...) and him staring directly back to us with a look of utter bewilderment and then a wry smile. Took us right back, "Paddy, Paddy Powell, Paddy Powell on the wing..."

  • Lol superb
  • Mine was the ringing out of "Championeees" hope to hear a bit more of that.
  • Don't like that song personally. If you met the team in the street you wouldn't say "well done for being championees"

I prefer stand up for the Champions / bring on the champions / we are the Champions.

At the end of the day, i suppose it's great just to be able to say it !
  • Singing "charlton til I die" at the end, and 5 seconds into it, finding my voice cracking and turning into a blubbering wreck.

Sometimes I really need to "man up"...........................
  • The Conga in Bartram's was pretty special!
  • The "We've got our Charlton back" was certainly up there for me.

Everything else that happened that day would have meant nothing to me though, had Chris Solly scored that shot.
I have thought about my reaction to that 100 times... I think it would be a combination of screaming, crying and getting dragged out kicking and screaming by 20 stewards.
  • Yann's goal.
  • All of it !
  • A guy in the JS singing "I hate Millwall" and everyone else replying "He hates Millwall" for a good 2 minutes. It made my day.
  • Turning round to see running down the touchline towards haynes after the second goal was cored :-)

Hammer run the length of the pitch to join in with the rest of the players/manager, etc.
Really good to see a "togetherness" in the team which, to me, has been missing some what for the last few years.
  • Seeing someone throw a beret to Yann, he picked it up gave a thunbs up and put it on. You can see him wearing it in a number of photos. Well done the guy who brought it and got his aim spot on.

As Charltonkeston says, the togetherness of this squad is there for all to see.
