Well done to all the H'Pool smurfs who made the valley a really special place to be today, and joined the celebrations with us!!!
Really nice touch at the end when they with given a standing ovation by our fans and deservedly so! thats what makes the day extra special!! Walking up floyd road and listening to the smurfs, I think they were really pleased to be part of the celebrations. jeff stelling would have been proud..
Great Yann goal by the way!!!!!!

Agreed. They were brilliant. Great ambassadors for their club. Helped make the day. They should be made welcome any time (cup matches only, obviously).

Good to hear the Covered End singing "Hartlepool" as their players went off.

They were a real credit to their club. I was glad that the Hartlepool team were clapped off at the end too; and touched to see the smurfs staying in the ground for some of the celebrations.

A really great bunch, a decent team - and I wish them well!

Yes, I think as a club we will miss Hartlepool next season but it would be brilliant if they could have a great season next time as their fans deserve it. I will be keeping an eye out for their results.

Like ourselves, they are a proper football club with proper fans!

There seemed to be a bit of argy bargy between their fans and our fans during the match - particularly the ones behind them. Shame really.

I had a good view of that Saga, our fans behind the smurfs starting a bit of finger pointing and then gave it the arms outstretched "come on then" gesture.

Very sad and just gives the club and the police ammo to never allow home fans in the Jimmy seed

They did their club proud and their applause of our team both at the guard of honour and the award of the trophy was a credit to them all.

YES!!!!! Brilliant point. The "acoustics" argument is a load of rubbish.

They were excellent. Indeed their team was good and made a game of it, though happily not enough to stop us winning, phew.
  • The generosity of their applause, pretty much all of them to a smurf, when SCP was announced for the trophy presentation at the end of a game was absolutely superb. A credit to their club.

I might have a speculative bet on them for play offs next year. Very happy it was them who shared our day and full credit to them, their fans were quality. Was great to see both sets of fans clapping each other. I will keeping an eye out for their results next season.

My only gripe, and it is a minor one, was that they had 2 papa smurf,s when as everybody knowsthere is only 1, and I didn't spot a smurfette.
