As its FA Cup final day as well, and the enjoyment for me as a kid used to always be about the pre-match, what's your pre-match routine from now to entering the ground ?
Up since 7 with daughter. Bakers and butchers for bacon sarnie ingredients. The Anchor to meet cousins i met up with again after several years at my dads funeral the other week. It was their old man who first took me to charlton. Several beers then get to ground in time for festivities.
Whatever you do, whatever your age, just make sure you savour every moment. Days like this don't come often in a Charlton Life. And post lots of piccys for those of us far away to enjoy
Back home in the rain from Oz, gonna get going in about an hour. Having a few jars with @ozaddick beforehand, not too many mind as want to remember a bit of this afternoon!!
I hope you all have a great day today specially Redmidland, PaddyP17 and Seth who have been a lifeline for all of us long range fans, give the Boys, Sir Chris and the Board a cheer from me.
It started last night for me... got home just after 2, up again at 6 to take the dogs out for two hours. Just about to have some breakfast before wandering down to meet Redmidland and the rest of the good people that frequent the Liberal club. ; )
Well, the anticipation has been building up all week and finally our big day is here! Lets get the 3 points to complete the hat-trick of cracking the 100 point mark, promotion and of course the title...the perfect season. It's gonna be a day of total CAFC celebration with memories made for life. Soak it in people, every last second of it!
Suddenly dawned on me that this is the first time my 12 year old son has seen us get promoted, he's only seen us in freefall, hoping today is a cracker despite of the weather, enjoy it people!
