Do you think it would be wise to enter a reserves league next season? With the amount of fringe players we have and also the amount of players making the step up from youth to senior football, it might be a good idea. What do people think?
Crazy not too imo, though originally a financial decision & many many clubs no longer bother/can afford to. If we can afford it we should do (if there is a league that we can go into?) How are young players to make the jump from Youth team to 1st team with no in between ? Players returning from injury need competitive games to reach match fitness. I wasn't there but by all accounts Sullivan had a bit of a shocker at Preston, his last competitive game was 3+ months ago so maybe not surprising he wasn't up to scratch ?

This is what my thoughts are. We have offered pro contracts to about 10 youth players and i doubt they'll be all going out on loan so they'll need game time.
definitely .. there are few if any better ways to maintain and / or reach match fitness and form than playing competitive games .. how else can managements assess a players' true ability ?

pc gone mad....
I think we'll have a team next season.
It also keeps players not playing in the first team sharp and intersted rather than warning he bench every game feeling left out and un-needed.
