  • Good luck ,I suspected the emergence of Nick Pope made his position harder.

    Good luck to the lad

PS that is a flipping 'orrible shirt he's wearing
  • Good luck to him
  • Good Luck. Always sad to see youngsters leaving. I fear the same will happen with Yado and Tosan.
  • 6'7"! Madness to let him go at that height.
  • good luck to him but pope seems very far ahead of him in the squad.
  • shame that, think he will go onto big things. club must really rate Pope
  • Good luck to the lad, hope to see him play at a higher level in the future.
  • Shame he never made an appearance, hope he makes a name for himself.

said ages ago that Pope should actually be in the first team, he's awesome during the pre match kick-up's

i don't think he's on hamers level yet. but he is looking promising.
  • Was never hugely impressed with Gough in pre match or pre season - think i got shot down on here but he didnt float my boat.

Pope seems to get a lot of praise so I assume he is the next in line
  • I think we shoulda played pope instead of Sullivan on Saturday just to give him experience

I would have played the actual Pope, he couldn't have been any worse

  • A good move for all parties, he would never get a look in at Charlton, with the rise of Pope, and Hamer being established No1. Further, I would imagine Sullivan staying as No2 next season, or us bringing in another established keeper to replace him.
  • We have a cracking young goalie at charlton but he is young only 10 I think at the moment but he will be a monster of a keeper

Craig his name is cant think of his 2nd name right now

    Dad is 6ft 6 mum about 6ft 1

I had him playing in goal for me for 2 seasons before the addicks stepped in ,

If he does what most of us think he can then we could have a great keeper in the future

Mad as a box of frogs heart of a lion

He was in the programme the other month when we had the academy day

Perfect for a modern goalie. If he's big then thats good too!

    The future's bright

  • Mixed feelings about Gough going to Bristol Rovers. Pope is 20 and Gough is 18. Not too much between them ability wise and Gough is 2 yrs younger. Good luck to him - looks like a very good opportunity for him. In 2 years time maybe we should see who's where and doing what! Hope this doesn't come back and bite our arse!
  • Nice bloke, wish him all the very best.

    Unfortunately we can't keep everybody.

Some will go and move onto bigger and better things, some will fall by the way side.

We'll keep others hoping they step up to the 1st team but no guarantees.

In the end the manager has to make a choice, some you win some you lose.

Interesting you say this NLA. My godson played his first game for the under 10's/11's (not sure exactly) a few weeks back on a Friday evening. I went along to Sparrows Lane to watch, the other keeper was very very tall for his age (towered above my godson). Would this be the same lad do you think?

Unfortunately it was a nothing game for the keepers as Charlton absolutely demolished the oppo with some brilliant passing football, was massively impressed with the whole set up and how we played. My Godson has also been invited back to play four or five more games which is great. A very proud godparent, especially as his old man is a Hammer :)

  • Potsdam giants. Parental genes was never repeated through the family line. With diet the chance increase in the modern age.

Let's hope Sullivan isn't second choice next season.
  • Yes, good luck to the lad. We can't keep them all.

Looks like he'll make his debut today, signed on an emergency loan after both their keepers were injured.
  • Good luck to him. Hopefully he does a harry pell
  • As its an emergency loan why is everyone saying he's gone? Confused.com
  • Bollocks just seen it. Good luck to him.
  • Looks like his league debut today - good luck
  • Lost 4-0...
