Blackpool faced with changing tastes and intense competition from abroad, has associations with seagulls, fish and chips, piers, ice cream, candy-floss, cockles and the childish innocence of buckets, spades, sandcastles, and donkey rides, a panorama of seaside attractions that has seen better days - just like our team Charlton Athletic!
Blackpool south beach, furnished the weekend base for a memorable Deepdale visit, from Charlton lifers princessfiona, alexwright, henry Irvine, norm smith and myself; and brought home the fact that Chris Powell and me, have a strong purpose in common: we both want Charlton to be a Premiership team by May 2013.
But how will Chris Powell achieve this? One thing is for sure he will have to do better than we did in the south beach casino after the match.

But to many people, it sounds just as wrong to hear “The secret is just between you and I.” It’s just wrong.
The official explanation is, “I” is a nominative pronoun and is used as a subject of a sentence or clause, while “me” is an objective pronoun and used as an object. Sound too technical? Then think of this:
The trouble with “me” usually begins when speakers are stringing together two or more objects in a sentence. “I” is not an objective case word, but people try to plug it in as an object because it just sounds smarter.
How will Chris Powell make us a Premiership team by May 2013?
Grammar Fascists. Pah, barely a creative idea between them, and hateful of, and commas.
Gary Mcsheffrey on the left wing.
We may be able to get him but he is with his hometown team.
