  • Keogh may well be wanted back at Wolves now they have gone down.

Sadly they have signed him permanently.
Didn't realise that. Good signing for them then.

  • i'm liking your confidence henry
Cos if you know your history
It's enough to make your heart go
    whooooooooooooooooo

  • Best bit last night was Brighty making himself look like a prize plum and annoying all AFC Wimbledon fans, by twice calling them MK
That was funny! Unless Brighty was unconsciously trying to relegate MKD...

I don't the Freedman hatred here, he was saying how Palace are run now, bringing through young players, and accepting the reality that one or two will be sold from time to time, which sounds very level headed when compared with some managers who demand a massive transfer budget and throw their toys out of the pram if they have to sell anyone, irrespective of the financial realities of the club. Palace have always had a good youth setup, indeed they've probably produced more players than we have (isn't Sir Chris Powell a former Palace youth product?)

I wasn't particularly commenting on how Palace is now run, I think they have definitely sorted themselves out as an organisation. I used to work for the company owned by their Chairman, and he's a shrew, smart businessman. I was just commenting on his demeanour and thought he was cocky. Banged on about all the youngsters he has coached and brought through. Would imagine most were already there and knocking on the door of the first team before he showed up. No big hate from me really, but of all the managers who've been on there this year, he just rubbed me the wrong way.

  • They have both had a great chance to pull away from us but have failed to take it.
How have we had a great chance to pull away from you? Considering you've been promoted, pulling away from you would mean winning promotion to the Premiership. Hardly the aspirations of Millwall at this moment in time. Just keeping our heads above water & finishing mid-table for the next 5 years will be an achievement.

You are clearly the bigger club with greater resources, so something similar would be a let down for you. Look forward to seeing how you do next season, the expectations seem to be high & the arrogance is already starting to return.

  • Score another one up to Dr Pavlov and his dogs

do not mistake confidence for arrogance
  • In terms of next season I would be happy with a stable mid-table finish with a tilt towards the play offs ,I suspect they would be similar aspirations that Millwall and Palace would have .

We will no longer be a massive club in the CCC as we have been in L1 over the last three years and we need to recognise that ,around half of the clubs we will be competing with next season will also have been in the Prem and some with the new paracute money so they will have much bigger resources .

In terms of relegation I think the likes of Barnsley and Peterborough will always be vulnerable.
  • Is this oohahh on now about attendances?
i had to watch it and see what they had to say

ha ha that bore at brighton lol
  • Sparrows I think a lot more of us are realisitic on here than most forums. Mind you if you see who people want to sign next season, they love a bit of over paid ex-prem shite. Still if we can knick Harry Kane off you for a loan next year I'll be a very happy man.

As for Palace who is signing an up and down league one striker on 12 grand a week, intelligent handling of finances? Getting Keogh in, and Kane in both on loan initially, is a bit more astute than the average Palace manager.... sign big, payoff big, get nothing back.

As the song you sing says, no one likes you...then again you don't care.

  • Heresy I know, but Freedman comes across well to me, and I think he has done a decent job at that joke of a club.
  • Just watched the show. Nice to see the beeb giving us their usual amount of recognition for sealing the title with 2 games to spare........................................................

i agree and think kenny jackett is a very good manager for millwall but i reckon we have the best of the lot
  • I didn't see it but I think some of these managers are deliberately arrogant to safeguard themselves for when they get the sack, making it easier to get another job, i.e. Phil Brown and Alan Pardew. i wonder if Freedman gave Lennie Lawrence any credit?

Lennie didn't get a single mention.

    Ain't that the truth

  • Looking forward to Brighton's new stadium next season
Looks alot like a non-league ground dont it?
From the limited view last night they seem to have one big stand & two pretty small ones, never got to see the view of the other behind the goal. Was it just me because that seems very strange for a new stadium, so yes agree looks like a very nice non leaguer.

    covered in seagull shite now.

bit amature...the away end is at a slant, they haven’t drawn the lines on and they haven’t even got any goal posts.

Easy mate I can see us being midtable at best. Promotion in the following year.

  • I've seen it from the outside. reminds me of the Colchester ground. side of a motorway. wasn't overly impressed but i guess with the expansion it will look pretty good. seems though most of the expansion will happen in the corners from what i can make out in those plans.
  • I think the Amex looks great on plan don't see the similarities with Colchester or the other identikit stadiums. I think the stadium at the moment is very much a work in progress.
  • Anyone see the pictures of Gillinghams proposed new stadium that were drawn by a primary school pupil who was clearly having a bad day?

Probably be built of plasticine and lego..............................

    Finally, someone who talks sense!

Oi Scally spent ages with his crayons drawing that.

He only went over the lines a couple of times.

  • Brighton expansion.
    Non-league, ARF!
Might look like a League Two ground when finished then.
  • brighton stadium is brilliant, why all the hate to them? Some people need to get their heads examined, or at least go visit the stadium
  • I'm not saying its a bad stadium. bit breeze block like and not great looking from the main road. (like where colchester is situated, unfortunately could not find photos from the main road for either stadium.) Its still good though. reminds me slightly of another new build stadium...
