Next Season - F.A Cup Run?

edited April 2012 in General Charlton
I loved the past F.A Cup games that CAFC have played including this year's Fulham trip and the game at tottenham...
However what i would love to see, is Charlton progressing as far as they really should for a club that has lifted it already (i know it was a very VERY long time ago)
One good thing about being in the Championship is we skip straight to the 3rd round...No faffing around with Halifax and Carlisle...Straight to the business end...
How far do you think we will get next season is my question...

  • I still get cold chills thinking about 'Operation Riverside'.
  • 3rd round. It's a tradition.
  • Obvious comment really but depends on the draw.
  • I'm all for a good FA Cup run (semi finals at least) and a mid table finish.
  • You know you're a Charlton fan when you think getting to the third round of the cup means reaching the business end !

Would be great, but clearly progress in the league is the primary goal. But I guess we have a fair few less games next year so could be on.
  • I think a run in the carling cup is more likely than a Fa cup run.
  • i don't want fulham away in the 3rd round ....
  • I hope we give it the old who gives a fudge about the FA Cup, top of the league and we're going up chant again when we get knocked out in the 3rd round.

Hmm............must be because there's no mileage in the size of the away support!
  • Arsenal away would do nicely

  • To be honest, I'm not too fussed about a 'run' as such, but great away days like we had at Fulham and Tottenham will always be welcome.
  • Home to someone from the lower leagues, followed by an away draw to another championship team, then a tasty quarter final with someone from the top half of the Premiersh!t will do me, as long as our league form doesn't dip because of it
