At the end of the match I stood up and drank it all in. All of a sudden I was not alone. I had gone to the game at the last minute, I had scrambled together the train fare, the £25 to get in and I just stood there with tears welling in my eyes. Next to me were my Grandfather and my Grandmother, my errant favorite uncle who had taken his love for the Addicks all around the world with him. They were there with me and suddenly I was with them celebrating a wonderful achievement. Emotion overtook me and I realised, Addicks never die.

so glad my boy could be there. told him afterwards that days like these don't come along too often & to take it all in. last 15 mins of the game were brilliant.
Today felt good and I thought of him.
