Been discussed already. Not gonna happen, we've won (hopefully) the 3rd division. Relief and an enjoyable achievement worthy of celebration, but still, nonetheless, our 3rd worst finish in the last 30 odd years. So hardly our finest hour.
Won't happen, it would be a nightmare as many fans wouldn't bother coming to it and the local area around Woolwich etc. is all Arsenal, so imo there would just be a bunch of empty streets.
It works in places like Reading as they are the only team for miles around and therefore they are supported by pretty much everyone in the area, we have too many rivals nearby, there would be too many complaints from locals that couldn't care less about football, and I don't think they'll let us close the roads. The Olympics and the London Marathon are already going to be screwing up the local traffic enough as it is.
Personally I would love it to happen but I am on going on holiday the day after the Hartlepool match so I will miss it anyway!

Bloody hell, hope you aren't organising the party ! :-)
Does anyone know if we will be doing this or anything about it? Imagine we would be anyway. Probably a week or so after the season.
Don't know about an open-top bus but Slater has volunteered to foot the bill for a quick ride on the 486 and has promised that the lads can all sit on the top deck as long as they don't stand up when it's moving and promise not to smoke.
We did have a celebration after the play offs - but I think it sounds like Saturday is going to be celebration enough. Then from the next day, we should focus on One Aim part 2.
Always found it a little bit strange that we had this for the play-off promotion but not for the champions promotion 2 yrs later. Evidently, scraping through is more of an achievement................................;-)
I gave Norwich fans stick for doing it as like us they shouldn't be in the 3rd Division in the first place. We can have one next year when we get promoted.
i really dont get all this "only 3 rd division" - you can only win the league you are in and we have done that in some style. Really wierd even calling it our 3rd worse in 30 years. To me it's about enjoyment and there havent been many more enjoyable in the last 30 years!

I do agree with PaulSturgess though.
Where would we end up, Woolwich? I don't fancy getting mugged thanks!
