i thought there was a thread on charlton songs but can't find it?

i know we haven't had much to be proud of for the past few years but we do now and i'd love to hear everyone singing;

and repeat as many times as anybody wants

it always brought a tear to my eye when i heard that song being sung.

Absolutely echo those sentiments ...used to be emotional singing that even after a LOSS! How many times we done that the last 7 years? I remember once, but can't even remember what game!!

'Stand up for the champions' is what we really want to be singing (with all sides of the ground getting involved like they did when we sang stand up if you're going up in the 2nd leg of the Ipswich play off game many years ago - best ever valley atmosphere).

with respect we're not there yet but of course we hopefully will be.

I think what this season has proved is that we finally have a team and a manager that we can be PROUD of without singling anyone out and collectively showing our pride of the whole which is more poignant and should be sung from the rafters imho.

We're proud of you - the chant that won us the play off at wembley at the end of extra timanshan 38,000 Charlton fans belted it out and made sure their team went into the penalty shoot out with just that little bit of edge...
