I haven't bought an adult match day ticket (until this game at £10) for years, however, if the ticket is normally £25 and was not bought in March, if you buy it from the club it's £25, if I sell one of my spares on here for £10 then the club is losing £15 no?
All this 'face value' at £10 is, unless I'm mistaken, a £15 discount.
Anyone that doesn't want to pay AshTray £30 can, clearly, wait to get to the front of the queue at the club.
I don't see what all the fuss is about, I've paid €600 for a ticket in the past before, I seriously doubt that any fans bought dozens of tickets in March (which they could have done) with the sole purchase of making money out of fans - if for no other reason than they could have ended up with tickets they couldn't have given away.
Anyone that failed to buy a ticket when they were plentiful is asking a lot, in my view, for other CL members to help them avoid the lottery of the club waiting list for nothing, especially as I imagine the seller has to rearrange his day to meet the buyer to hand over the ticket.
Just my view, of course, which is why if one of my party cancels I'll just leave the seat empty, rather that suffer the wrath of some on here.
If ashtray bought the ticket at £25 then sell it at £25
FFS. Ash Tray didn't have a ticket he wanted to sell. He is a Wind Up Merchant & is having another great laugh at all of your expense. Why the hell kha is going on about it at 08.30 is unfathomable, considering Ash Tray withdrew the fictitious offer at 7.18.

The answer to your question is that I started my post then was called away, came back and completed it and in the meantime others had posted. It didn't occur to me that Ash Tray was winding people up.
For the record I wouldn't look to make money on tickets, but I, also, wouldn't, have a problem if others did.

If AFKA allowed people to make a profit on ticket sales, this site would turn into something resembling e bay. Selling tickets on here for profit is not permitted & quite right too.

Fair enough. I certainly wasn't advocating breaking AFKA's rules.
Slightly off the subject matter I know, but I was 'always' a bit suspicious about AshTray since his post of a couple of seasons back when he 'claimed' that he was robbed/mugged of his pack of beers by a gang of fellow Addicks on a train coming back from Sarfend away. To this day no one has any knowledge of this event....either as a witness or re who took part in this 'alleged' incident on a packed train/platform....I thought at the time it sounded like a load of bollox and I still do. WUM!
The 'rules' are there so that we can all try and assist each other where possible when it comes to tickets, vouchers etc. Not to profit from.
Personally, if I got helped out by someone i'd always offer to buy them a drink or something as a sign of gratitude, but openly seeking to profit is not something want on here.
Anyway, move on. Ashtray was an established wind up merchant, and failed to take on board my warning yesterday that our softened approach had not worked and will now be taking a much tougher stance on WUMs and general rudeness to try and get back to a more harmonious forum. I'm sure he won't be the last.
To be fair to him and not defending his ticket shananagans, he is an addick through and through. I first met him in 1983 at the Valley, so wum yes but a troll no (actually I dont think anyone has accused him of that yet), if you recall the "Should we give Argentina the Falklands thread" he started, he does like to court controversy. His brother and Dad are also Charlton and post on here, I was speaking to his dad up at Carlisle in the rugby club, I dont believe there ever was a ticket but can also see why everyone (including me) thought it out of order
Why would you offer your ticket for free when you can sell it for £30......
;-)
Bugger ! Missed out there !! (Seriously, When Sandra couldn't go to any matches because of Her nightshift, She always was happy to give the season ticket away: The club had the money, and another supporter was getting behind the team). Sorry, but she hasn't renewed for next season.

Only joking already got mine.
Ooooops. Good joke though, eh Ash?
What? What? Can't hear you...
Compare and contrast Mr Ashtray!!

I have it on e-bay right now and sincerely hope that the person who buys it is nice as MOG has to sit next to him or her for 2 hours.
