Hi,
Ive been reading the posts on this forum for a while now and this is my first post.
I live in Reading and my Dad and I sit in the East Stand. The flasks I purchased at the start of the season help us fit in perfectly. I was born in Lewisham but was swiftly moved to Berkshire when just a youngster.
As my Dad was a Charlton fan and we had family friends in Blackheath we often visited the Valley. I loved it from my first trip and also very much enjoyed standing on the terrace at Elm Park behind the goal when Charlton came to visit. I remember singing "red army" for about 25minutes on that terrace and giving the Reading keeper Bobby Mihaylov "Wiggy" lots of abuse for his dodgy hair piece and goalkeeping blunders!
Thats enough from me, just got the Reading fans to look forward to at work tomorrow.
ps. thanks to whoever took the attached pic of me on Saturday! Norm looks very happy resting on my shoulder.
