Not being funny but people do not like him just because he "cheated" on cheryl "i've shagged the newcastle team including Bramble" Tweedy. Only Arsenal fans can actually not like him through what happened when he left there.
Quality left back and backed it up with his performance last night.
i think he's had a shocking season but last night he was superb.
he does seem to always play well on the big stage. has been consistently good for England during World Cups and Euros as Cristiano Ronaldo will tell you.

agreed, he was back to his best time as a young man at Arsenal. Chelsea played as if this is their last chance for a European cup and medals .. and for many of them it probably is
Played well, Alves was sucked up the pitch and played in no man's land most of the match meaning Drogba could try and run across the cds. Don't forget that Sanchez drifted inside and had the best chances, that was all in between Cole and Terry.
He played well but didn't have a direct one on one, stayed compact which is something he can't work out for himself for England. Let's face it though the real factor all night was Ramires, who's energy and excellence meant that Cole could be more positionally conservative. Ramires ran into the space that Alves too often left behind him. Cole was good, Alves made the same mistakes as Cole usually does for the best team in the world.
Strange seen as Alves is more than able to sit back in high risk matches, despite his attacking insincts. Sit back and encourage Cole up the pitch, and a top quality side wins the match every time. He does not hurt top quality teams offensively, but I'll admit his defending is very good when the team is setup correctly.
After being substituted at half time with score 0-5 I would not be surprised to see his agent touting him with a view to a move back to England in January.
QPR have been put on alert for a reunion with his former International team mate, Rio.

Didnt they fall out and Rio refered to him as "choc-ice"

Any substance for this or are you basing it completely on him being substituted at half time?
