I love the football family.

I was in Tampa on Saturday at the moment we went up and i was in line at busch gardens to go on a rollorcoaster and there were two Villa fans i was jumping around making a fool of myself in my 100yrs shirt, they were really happy that we went up and asked me to beat Birmingham for them next season...Football brings all of us together!!, they sure did talk funny though!!

  • we could be playing Villa the way they're going.
  • Florida - we may have to meet up and share our stories, I'm at present trying to get a job in Tampa with our local office...love it out there, but will miss my Charlton boys.

......and coincedentally a good family friend of mine was gonna give me his centenary shirt if I go!!
  • I've had a lot of fans of other teams come up and congratulate me at work this week.
Sadly most of them are plastic top four supporters and on principle I ignore everything they have to say about football.

sounds good, I live on the East coast of Florida in Port St Lucie, but get over to Tampa maybe once a month to go to Busch Gardens, They used to give you free beer because Busch owns budweiser, I was saddened to see that they dont anymore :(, I saw U2 at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium a couple of years ago and we heard gunshots from our hotel room that night, its weird, they put huge stadiums and theme parks in the middle of the ghetto there. If your trying to move here, then i would either live right in the city or right out of town, I have been here 10yrs and the only things i miss are Charlton and me Mum.

No one here has heard of Charlton, I rent a room to a peruvian guy who is a massive Barcelona fan, he has been there once, his room is a shrine, talk about plastic top 2 supporters (spain).....but we share a common hatred for Ronaldo!!!! you should hear him cursing him out in spanish, its majestic!!. He also respects me as a real football fan because i support a team outside of the premier league, and he loves our playing style.

because no one can understand why i am so happy it reminds me of when i lived in Wales in 1990 and we got to the world cup semis all the welsh were so pissed off.

true!, the two villa fans werent too happy, and they didnt know man u were going to stuff them either, they are not happy that the Birmingham manager is trying to take them down at all.
  • A Spurs fan at work took time out from grieving over their disaster on Sunday to say "well done, congratulations" - He perked up considerably after Arsenal -Wigan last night!
  • Is anyone else starting to hate the phrase 'the football family'?
  • like all families, we like to kill eachother from time to time
  • My best one of these situations was in a hostel in Buenos Aires a couple of years ago. I was told there was another Charlton fan about, and spent the next few hours drunkenly talking rubbish about away trips and some of the faces you see. Havn't seen him since though, unfortunately.
