STATBANK: Carlisle 0-1 Charlton plus the PROMOMETER

Many thanks to all the Lifers who gave marks, whilst I agree that every player was a hero I have not included those Lifers marks who gave every player 10. There have been many wonderful performances that have contributed to out promotion where maximums have not been given to every player, so out of the 31 Lifers who gave marks I have used the marks of 24.

  • The marks reflect what we all know. Five defenders in the top 6 plus Kermorgant. It seems a bit harsh that BWP is out of the top 5, but he has been marked as a success or failure in many games, I suspect.
  • Back ahead of Brighton last year and ahead of Norwich the year before - that's an exciting statistic
  • Cort above Yann and Pritchard above Hollands! Interesting stuff.

    Good work as usual LL.
  • Cheers LL.
  • Fantastic for Pritchard to be MoM in promotion - winning game - can someone make sure he knows?!!
  • I'll tell him on Thursday. ;-)
  • Thanks LL always look forward to this...but today with a bigger smile than normal on my face!!
  • Interesting about Cort, I'll hold my hands up to say I wasn't completely overwhelmed when we signed him or even the first time I saw him but in the past couple of months I have to say he has been class.

Now the big question, do people think he can handle the Champ and was last time he was there just a blip?
  • Been mentioned before but Solly's fouls stat is very impressive, just 19 in the league all season.
  • The most interesting and encouraging thing for me is that despite having roughly the same number of shots per game as the opposition we score 2.4 times the amount of goals.

No shit Sherlock, that's why we're top of the league, I hear you say. But it does indicate our success is based on the qualty of chance making and chance taking rather than creating more chances. One look at the goals video bears this out, not many of them are scrappy.

The encouraging aspect - we've got the Championship quality for next year, we'll just need to find a way of doing it more often.
