Can we just enjoy the moment.......

edited April 2012 in General Charlton
I know threads are started with the best intentions but speculating about next season's team/attendances etc should be put on the back burner for a bit to allow us to enjoy what has been one of the best seasons in many of our recent memories.

Look at the league table for a while, sit back & think about what we've achieved with a new team, (relatively) new management....the pressure's off for this season at least...enjoy the remaining games, concentrate on cheering our boys to the League 1 title & think about the summer ahead with a smile on your face. Drink copious amounts of alcohol before the Wycombe game in celebration and continue drinking heavily until the Smurfs come to town on the last day of the season. Hartlepool will be a sell out, can't wait.

Best Monday morning by a mile for ages for me and I came back to work after a two week break today.

  • Yay! Macronate's down with the plan.

You may have noticed my rubbish attempts to stop that particular snowball rolling elsewhere but doesn't seem to have done any good...
  • Yeh ENJOY, lets think about next season when this one is done, enjoy the next few weeks, it finally feels good to be a Charlton fan again!
  • I can do more than one thing at a time.
  • enjoy lge one .... no thanks ... enjoy that we've pissed it and leaving it yes but savour being in it, never
  • I can do more than one thing at a time.
    you must be female then.
  • don't be silly, we're Charlton not Barnsley..

    :)
  • Good post. We should take a step back and enjoy the moment before speculating about next season, we'll have all summer to do that!
  • We can enjoy this moment and think about the future too - I think it's brilliant that we're excited enough about where this team, management and owners could take us to be thinking about next year.

It's been a while since we've been excited to look forward rather than doing so in the hope things will change. Long may the reasons for optimism in the future continue.

  • It is exactly what i am doing, my mind has been playing over key moments of the season, like the last minute winner on boxing day

    and at bournemouth

    the 2 sheffield games

the reaction in the 2nd half at notts county

the grinding out result after result

the moments in games when you saw for the first time in years a resilance a determination not to get beaten

my mind is full of Solly taking ball after ball off of the toes of opposing players and running around them in a circle before releasing the ball

the headers and ball retention of Yann

    Then Saturday

    the smile on Jackos face

the look of pure determination on BWP after he scored and had missed the 2 chances before hand

Waggy/ Solly pure joy from 2 proper Charlton

Bradley pritchard playing the Drum pure instantainous (SPELLING SORRY) emotion and excitement

then SCP being thrown in the air and that interview

Feck next season i dont care about that yet i am so happy this one is nearly over and that 1 aim has been achieved

You know what i got a text from NSS saturday it read

    ONE AIM
  • Not forgeting the cigar on the pitch NLA at full time.
  • Not forgeting the cigar on the pitch NLA at full time.
