plymouth v watford...a match for tv football fans to boycott ?

on the basis that if you're likely to have to fight a battle one day its far better to do it now and on somebody else's doorstep than later and on your own (afghanistan, iraq..iran...) then maybe its time that we all took a decision to boycott watching this match (whether you plan to watch it or not you know you're going to switch over to it at some stage)...two teams that far apart having to play on a sunday evening because of the tv is a joke...

  • Does anyone actually know why they're not playing on the saturday? Surely there should be 2 games on saturday and 2 on the sunday but there's 1 on saturday and 3 on sunday. I feel for both sets of fans, sunday night isn't really a good time for a game
  • bbc couldn't give a toss whether u watch it or not, they have already paid for the rights and will stage it to fit in with their schedule.Unfortunately tv money talks.Ply mouth aint boverred extra 1/2 mill from tv money.
  • I read yesterday it was down to the BBC.

Ian Holloway is telling all the Watford fans to stay down in Plymouth and throw a sickie on the Monday!

they will give a toss if the viewing figures are rubbish and we then get everybody to complain to their local mp about the bbc wasting licence payers money and calling on the government to get rid of the chairman...i'll bet that gets the head of sport a choice word or two on the subject of sheduling live matches between two team so far apart...
  • Yer but that's just the luck of the draw.

The head of BBC sport has already come out and basically said BBC are great cos that weekend they have 3 live FA Cup ties and 3 six nations rugby games live as well. So i doubt he cares to be honest. As north stand steve said plymouth won't care as they'll be getting tv money out of it.
  • I didn't realise about the Rugby there's the reason enough said
