Cheers Blades, without doubt the red half of Sheffield will be going up with us, nobody I repeat nobody wants the arrogant blue scum to be promoted, they will bottle it in the play offs, lose they're best players in the close season and finish 16th in league 1 next year, fantastic.

Sounds familiar... bar the arrogant blue scum bit.
operationpig, if you can remember all the 'declarations' by Sheffield Wednesday regarding Charlton throughout the season you would understand it all. Once it was established that we are clearly the better football team, the Sheffield Wednesday fans desperately brought out the range of alternative criticisms from out tin pot status, to our level of support, and even now it's about our certain relegation next season. Some Charlton fans have reacted to this provocation. The fact is supporters of no other club in this division has supporters who want to post such drivel, most supporters of other teams love their clubs, want to better us fair and square, and are pretty realistic in their comments. Sheffield Wednesday used to be a magnificent club who bestrode the English football scene with class and style, now that has faded it seems that (some) Sheffield Wednesday fans are bitter and want to spit their bile in the direction of other clubs instead of saving their energy to back up the Owls. Take heed of the behaviour of the fans of some other clubs, such as your city rivals, and behave with a bit of dignity why don't you.
Reading the thread it seems that we "bought the league". I appreciate most of the players we signed were for undisclosed fees so we'll never know what we paid but most were signed for around the £250-300K mark and arguably our best player - Yann Kermoragnt came on a free as did several others and we sold a couple of players to effectively finance the purchases.
Still thanks for Morrison, he's barely put a foot wrong this season. Perhaps if your club had supported him then he'd have stayed put and been as immense for you as he has for us.
Feel particularly happy for Morrison. To be subjected to the rantings of The Massive fans and Megson throughout our victory at Hillsborough and see what has happened since...well, must be particularly sweet.
Really can't see what the problem is that most seem to have with operationpig. Not read anything he's said that's slagging anyone off, just a bit of banter as far as I can see. Nowhere near as bad as some oddicks that have graced their site.
I went up to Bramall Lane, with my eldest this year, and your fans were fantastic. Very friendly, and great to chat to. You do your city proud, and I really hope you join us.

Serious cap on* Mate, take a chill pill, most of it is just banter on a forum, there are probably 50 posters tops that you are pointing that at, there are 20k wednesday fans week in week out, a few on a message board doesn't speak for us all, those of you that know the City of Sheffield will know that.
I'm not uaually one for gloating but Au Revoir little piggy. You've been a smart arse on several occasions on this forum and I'm certain if we'd folded in recent weeks and were sat in third you'd be on here squealing about Semedo, Llera, etc.... Do enjoy the play offs. And League One next season.
Congratulations to Charlton and all the fans on your promotion. Being a Blade I was hoping that you would have a dip in form at some point and we may have a chance on catching you. That has not materialised and that speaks volumes for the team you have. Obviously the outstanding team this season and even when not playing at your best you have ground out results. Well done, hope we can join you in a few weeks time, but wont count my chickens yet.

PS. I see a few pig fans on here, posting about how massive they are, 20,000 crowds etc... ask them who was the last club to average over 30,000 in Sheffield and who was the one before that. They have not averaged over 30,000 for about 45+ years !! Enjoy your night and your final few weeks in League One.
I think it's embarrassing that any fan goes to gloat on another teams page. Fair enough to wish the team well and congratulate them but to tease them is pretty weak. I cringe when I read a post from a Charlton fan like that on Owlstalk.

Do you think you can catch the Blades ?

.....and that the Wendies don't!

They are a huge club with potential to be top 8 in the country, fantastic passionate away support etc
But I hope Carlisle smash them in the play offs, sorry if that doesn't comply with the friendly theme
Sheff utd however I wish well and hope they get promoted

Very disappointing.
There are tools among every fanbase - Wednesday have no greater percentage of them.
Check out bwpisgod on Owlstalk - gives your club a bad name, but I wouldn't dream of thinking he represents your fanbase on the whole.
