Lift is all sorted. Thanks everyone for making it happen! What a great football club we're all part of and what a fantastic site Charlton Life is. Big hug everyone!
Decided on forking out £100 and getting the train. Going to drink my body weight in tinnies to make up for the price. Hope that all that want to go get there.
Admiration for you Barnehurst on going for it, despite the cost. I'm working, but have booked all further Saturdays off. Good luck to the team, and make sure you fans all get behind them. I remember the trip there years ago, the Tolmie own goal. and a touch of fisticuffs on the pich at the end if i remember rightly. See u all against Wycombe
What's the story about sharing a car, sharing the petrol, and sharing the driving too? Its about 300 miles from SE London, with only a couple of 20 minute breaks, and non-tired drivers to press on, could do it in about, what, seven hours?
To all you freaks out there!!! Enjoy a lot of us will be think about you, enjoy!! On a good note have a great time up on the borders, I can feel the atmosphere already, we all hope it's another day to remember for the history of the club. Good luck to Chris and his coaching staff and the 16 players on the day... Slater has come up trumps for the club, long may it continue.
With the area around the ground being residential you have to be very careful where you go, so I'd suggest paying a couple of quid and parking in a proper car park. The car park at the ground is £2 or £3 but you can often queue quite a while to get out onto the motorway.
I normally park on St Aidans Road which is actually on the way into the car park and doesn't cost anything, but often fills up quickly. It's about a 3 minute walk from the ground and is easy enough to find.
If you can't get in there there's other car parks in the city centre - http://www.parkopedia.mobi/parking/carpark/cecil_street/ca1/carlisle/. I'd recommend the one I've linked to, but the other ones listed below it would be fine too. The city centre is only 15 mins from the ground so you'd have no trouble finding your way.
Common sense applies so if you want to park on the road, just be really careful and check where you are isn't going to result in you finding a clamp on your tyre when you got back. Pay a couple of pounds just to make sure.
Any spare car or coach spaces? I've lost my lift so need transport and don't really fancy £103 return. I am in Orpington and willing to drive locally to meet up. Please let me know asap; 07854387206 Steve
Im heading up from Shrewsbury but it seems a waste of money taking a car all the way up there with no passengers, so if anyone wants to car share enroute let me know.
Just wanted to say thank you to Dave, Kane and Julie who sorted me out yesterday. To pick up a couple of blokes you'd never met before and drive all the way to Carlisle and for THAT to happen. Unbelievable. And great company all the way there and back, a really really good laugh. I wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for you guys so will be eternally grateful. And thank you to Charlton Life for providing a medium to make it all happen! Nice to see Covered End who seemed pleased that I made it! Thanks mate
We had a full car of Lifers too and hear hear to that Olly. Brought five blokes together with one thing very much in common. Wouldn't have happened without Charlton Life.

If no luck I'm gonna just book train tickets for a £100 quid tonight. Wish I booked earlier but I can't miss us possibly being promoted.

Good to see that Killer is still involved with the club
Hope that all that want to go get there.
