Car Parking In Dartford

edited April 2012 in General Charlton
I've just booked myself a place on the coach for Carlisle. My pick up point is at Dartford (Heath Lane, nr junction with Princes Road ), which is a place I don't really know too well. Can anyone tell me about parking around there: what's a good place to leave my motor, and how long would it take to walk to the pick up point from there?

Cheers

Stig

  • lots of residential streets around there, not near a station or anything so can't imagine too many parking restrictions. Sure you will be okay.
  • Well get there early to do a reccy... dont want to miss the coach do you?! I would actually go and have a look before the morning if you can, thats a busy place.
  • Thanks very much.
  • Some good dogging sites round there so wherever you park dont leave your interior light on
  • Someone is back... where you been?

    Sod off.

  • Anyway, back to parking. There are some side roads round there, but there won't be many spaces because the houses are mainly small terraces with no off-street parking. So, I'd get there early.
  • Just park down Heath Lane (Lower) next to the school on the left, plenty of bays, then stroll back upto the junction (youll know your in the right place if you see Halfords on your left.

  • Excellent. Thank you very much :-)
  • If the coach leaves without you, I suggest you don't tell us :-)

PS I'm embarking at Bromley & I will also keep schtum if I miss it.
  • If the coach leaves without me I shall run behind it like Marty Feldman shouting, "Wait for me!"

  • Very good Stig. I think that was Syd Cheesewright (John Junkin) driving. Hope I get more time for a beer at Carlisle :-)
