If we win the title it should, not too sure it will though.

It's the third division. If they put on an open top bus it would be embarrassing.

Yes, but as its the third division they are giving it to us in a brown paper bag.

How about putting the fans in the bus and driving it round the training ground to thank the team?

Knowing some of our supporters they'll leave just before it to miss the traffic

I know I'm in a minority but I can't say that a supporter I care very much about the presentation. I can understand the players will feel different and it's their achievement so that's what matters, but it isn't something that interests me very much. I want to win the division, but they can keep the trophy as far as I'm concerned.

Is it your job to polish it then? :-)

Didn't Man City do one for winning the div 3 play-off final? The same season Man Utd won the treble.

Not embarrassing in the slightest, it will be a long time if ever before we win something prestigious.

This would be the most successful Charlton team for many a year , whether people think it is embarassing parading a trophy on an open top bus because we shouldn't be in this division makes us sound like the massives , we are where we are & should be proud of the fact we are on the up , having a bus parade gives a sense of occasion for the fans , i would rather money was spent on this than subsiding a one off train ticket.

Considering the rubbish we have seen for the last 5 years , and the fact we're still following the club is the least i think the club can do , i'm sure it won't cost a lot.

Ooohaah will swiftly point out that we won't sell our allocation for this!

No buses. It is Div 3 FFS!

I would love a bus parade. Why not it is over 10 years ago since we have one anything and it all helps bonding the club and fans.

Despite my previous post I would prefer the train ticket!

Can I be the first to say that we havent won anything yet. Lets not count ANY chickens and keep to SCPs one game at a time policy...

Train tickets come and go , more people would come to watch the team parade the trophy than would make it up to Carlisle , we should celebrate success , not cough , splutter and be embarrassed about it.

On the basis that we should be getting the trophy at the last game then I do think that an open top bus is a bit OTT in this particular instance.

But that's not because we're a 3rd Division team. It's a bit arrogant to suggest that it's beneath us somehow.

As a club we've been going for how long now - 107 years? And in that time what have we actually WON - one cup and 3 or 4 titles?

If we can't properly celebrate this now then history tells us we'll probably have bugger all else on a par to celebrate anytime soon!

I don't think it is embarrassing at all, but I don't think there would be much turnout for it unfortunately. That would be the embarrassing bit.

and imagine the bus driving around empty streets... what a cringe.

A trophy presentation is all that is needed.
