tangoflash 12:43AM I might be wrong but think you can only appeal if you have proof of mistaken identity. As this was certainly not the case, no way around it.
Then, we best appeal, as I thought the bloke in black was there to referee the game.
Hollands is a 3 game that will rapidly become 4 game ban if we appeal. No way it will be overturned. Utterly pointless appealing imo. You have to remember that we have appealed Hamer and Russell vs Sheff Utd (I think) and eventually the Football League are going to get pissed off with us and react accordingly.

Agree. From the tv footage I have seen there is no way it's getting overturned. You just can't see enough.
I think Hollands has shown signs recently of needing a rest anyway. Seems a stupid rule that Waggy can't appeal as it was clearly an error by the incompetent ref.
It is a ridiculous rule about not being able to appeal a second yellow sending off.
I'm sure that someone will correct me if this already happens, but given the number of times that Charlton have tried to appeal and not been successful because the video evidence is inconclusive, isn't it about time that Charlton started putting another camera somewhere else in the ground (at home games anyway) so that these incidents can be filmed and then seen from an additional angle from that of the main camera? Could be a good coaching aid if nothing else.
In most countries bar Scotland , you can't even appeal a straight red , I think it is on us and the jocks that do
I think we should appeal tbh the tackle was a nothing foul a yellow at best , I still think that waggys looks a million times worse than the incident was , anyone who has played the game can clearly see he slips , but if you don't know that it looks a very clumsy tackle but he did win the ball

If so, swallow your medicine and be fresh for next Saturday. Certainly won't do Hollands any harm having a break.
