  • No I've changed my mind.

    Charlton 3 Oldham 0
Wallsall 1 Charlton 2 after another world class performance by an opp keeper saves them ffrom total humiliation.

It's gonna be one of the above.
  • I do feel the away game will be easier than the home one for some reason, but expect to win both - 2-0 and 2-1 respectively. WIll probably need to clinch the promotion at Cralisle, if history is anything to go by.

Some of us can't seem to shake off a sense of impending doom but really there is no need to fear. The blip is behind us, the team are focused on the job in hand and a couple of professional performances against Oldham and Walsall will produce 6 more points. Oldham are currently in a right old slump and any objective analysis of this match would have us winning it comfortably - we are just too strong for this kind of team. Walsall are a slightly different proposition but surely SCP and co have learnt what to expect by now - you don't need a crystal ball to know that Walsall will bring a 5 man industrious midfield and a no-nonsense back four to the Valley in the hope of nicking the first goal then defending for their lives - and to plan accordingly. Even if Walsall get away with a draw it won't be the end of the world. I really cannot see either of the Sheffield teams making up enough ground to catch us in the games that are left. Promotion will be assured before Preston.
  • 0-1 and 3-1 wins for us
  • 1-0 saturday
    2-0 monday
    promoted against carlise.
  • 1-0 Charlton on Saturday - Yann overhead kick

3-0 Charlton on Monday - Hollands, BWP and Solly.
  • Oldham 0-2 Charlton (Wagstaff 2)
    Charlton 4-0 Walsall (BWP,Morro,Kermo,Hollands)
  • 2-0 win on Saturday and a 0-0 draw on Monday.
  • I have a bad feeling re Oldham away, pre champions jitters only i hope!!! a tough sneaky 0-1 away win with BWP being The Fox in the Box. And this latest away win will galvanise the lads to a whopping 4-0 home victory on Monday with Kermit (2), Hollands and Morrison doing the honours,,,,,,,
  • Some very confident people on here. Kind of good to see.
    Oldham 0-0 CAFC
    CAFC 2-1 Walsall

  • Two wins for us 1 0(Wagstaff) 2 0(BWP & Stephens) but not promotion just yet.

Looks like Jackson could be back according to Powell's latest presser:

"Everyone is fit now and with 25 players training, they are all in a good place. "
  • Oldham 0-2 Charlton Bwp x 2
    Charlton 2-1 Walsall Stephens, Waggy
  • Oldham 0 CAFC 1

    CAFC 2 Warsaw 0
  • 1-1
    2-1
  • No bad feelings here, no gut thoughts of doom and gloom just thoughts of victory based on season long form, not breathtaking football but point taking performances just as we have done throughout our blip/wobble/decline into the crevaces of despair (delete where appropriate for your mindset).
4/6 point spread for us on an eachway win/draw whilst our opponents do much the same and the total required for promotion gets nearer and nearer forget the lead being four points, I feel that is more likely to be the number of points required come Monday.
  • I'm quite confident about Oldham. Yes we might have promotion jitters, but I imagine Oldham will have worse jitters, they're on a bad run and will be nervously looking at the teams below them. An early goal for us could really dent their confidence.

Agree with all of the above.
  • tough call on both games with oldham having the less to play for i think we'll have more chance of the 3 points against them than walsall

will be more than happy to match the sheffields results over the weekend but fear a slight indentation made by the dirty northern b.......

as the games approach i feel sick in the stomach , just get them early goals perleeeeeease

  • Fighting food bloodnut
Food is for wimps.......Creatine is the future
  • 0-2 (kerm bwp)
    1-0 (morrison)
  • Would be happy with 4 points over the next 2 games
  • 4 points from the 2 games for CAFC, 6 points to Sheff U and 4 points to Sheff W. No promotion yet!
  • Oldham 1 Charlton 2 (Kerm x2, Hollands)
    Charlton 4 Walsall 1 (BWP x 2, Morro, Kerm)

Is there any way we can get promoted on monday??????
  • I'd be happy with 3 points

    Chuffed with 4

And probably but the champagne to put in the fridge if we get 6
  • Been changing my mind on the results over the last few days.....but on all occasions I've had us down to win both, just couldn't make my mind up on the scores...........however I have a feeling that its 1-0 victory up at Oldham and a 2-1 win at home to Walsall.......6 hard earned points and a potential promotion winning match at Carlisle next week, followed by the Championship winning match against Wycombe!! COYR's!!!!
