  • That is f*cking disgusting.

The tickets for our end sold out to season ticket holders.
Mugging off your own fans by wanting that amount is just plain wrong.
Sell them for face value and thats it.
  • Well to be expected as all them lot from Essex are like dodgy ex-car salesman after all :-)

How is he mugging off his own fans? They're only worth that if someone is prepared to pay it. If people told him to f off i'm not paying that then he'd soon lower the price. If he doesn't want to go and someone is going to give him 300-400 for the pair then good luck to him.

Agree totally, My brother (Gooner) had C/L Final ticket allocated to him and he passed so that it would go to a proper fan rather than buying it and then selling it for the highest price to a "plastic"

Of course its mugging off his own fans.
Had these tickets made general sale it would be entirely different, still out of order in my book, but not as bad.
However they sold out to season ticket holders who needed 8 or more priority points.

This bloke has got these tickets that a season ticket holder with less than 8 points has been denied, and is flogging them for a huge mark-up.
You don't think thats slightly unfare?
  • I assume that to get the tickets in the first place he must've been to quite a few away games to get those points required?

8 or more this season and last.
  • So he's clearly a west ham fan but he's probably had enough and decided to cash in and make some money. If someone is silly enough to want to give him £300+ then good luck to him. Whilst i agree he's ripping off his own clubs fans, he can only do that if somenoe pays it. If people told him to f off he wouldn't get anywhere near that
  • Mortain is right, you don't rip off your own, especially when demand is far greater than supply.
  • agreed chris.
if i could make 300 quid id be sorely tempted.

That makes it all the worse IMO.

Some people, who have attended 7 away games (possibly more if they bought tickets and didn't give their season ticket number when buying) this season and last, have missed out on this game only for a fellow "fan" to snap up the tickets and tout them on.

There is a family who sit infront of me at the boleyn, husband & wife and their grandkids.
Seen the husband at many an away game, he's racked up plenty of points.
One of his grandsons asked him to take him to this game, but he's only got a few points on his client number. He asked if we were going so he could use our numbers if we weren't.
Is it right that this young fan, who's west ham daft, can't go to this game as some greedy to$$er is snapping up he tickets to sell them at a profit?
  • i'm sleeping with my season ticket under my pillow til saturday. or i'm glueing it to my leg til kick off.
  • its a cruel cruel world out there. sob

I'm not only nervous about the match, but the tickets too - we gave our S/Ts to a friend for a friend of his to use at the Chelsea game. The friend had better turn up on time at Saturday's agreed rendezvous or I'll be a complete wreck! Just hope he's no idea what price they're going for...(fortunately he's not on here as far as I know...)
  • Weegie: If your mate of a mate fails to turn up, you can go to the ticket office and pay for replacements, assuming you can provide ID.

Then you reclaim the money (minus a £5 admin fee) by sending them the stub & season ticket slip.

    Just incase :)

Thanks Stu - now just the match to worry about!
  • Yeah, that is a problem I can't help with!
