SUNDAY MORNING: I have just started entering the marks and would ask you to please use the list of players as I have put it, as some Lifers are using their own list which makes my job of entering the marks much more time consuming, also please give STEPHENS a mark as he did play over 30 minutes - thanks LL

  • Hamer 8 another good save and did nothing wrong. But needs to stop giving lip to refs.
    Solly 7 sollyd performance
    Cort 7 was comfortable
Morro 6 distribution was below par for him
Wiggins 6 doesn't seem as effective as he was a month ago
Waggy 7 typical performance in promising much but not quite delivering the final thing
Hollands 7 decent effort in a tough midfield. Shame about that chance that went begging
Russell 5 not what we need for this kind of game
N'guessan 5 I am not sure why Hamer kept kicking for him to lose in the air.
Hayes 5 didn't get good service but didn't look like someone in form either
BWP 6 no opportunity to shine. Manfully kept going. Probably has a few bruises

Stephens 6 outnumbered while he was on. Expect him to start now.

  • Hamer - 7.5 Dealt with everything well, not great distribution, made good saves when called upon
Solly - 7 Had a usually good performance, some good link-up play
Morrison - 6 Not the greatest of performances, but did well all the same
Cort - 6 Dealt with what came at him, didn't have a lot to do
Wiggins - 6 Hasn't seemed as prolific as he was at the start of the season though still a class above most of the time
Wagstaff - 6.5 Decent link-up play with Solly and the Hayes at time too but never quite has the final product though, made some decent crosses this time around but they always to come too late or not quite where it's needed.
Hollands - 6.5 Fought, didn't see much of it, average game.
Russell - 3.5 Lost the ball in midfield before the penalty, tracked back, then gave away the penalty the striker was CLEARLY looking for, not sure what happened with the sending off. I think he got a straight red for kicking out or something because the Huddersfield fans were in uproar. Either way i get the feeling it must have been his fault.
    N'Guessan - 5.5 Not particularly impressed
Hayes - 6 Little to do, had some decent touches but poor service. Needs to recreate his understanding with BWP if he wants to keep his place
BWP - 6 Had no chance to shine but battled and fought.
Stephens - 8 Controlled and settled the midfield, bossed it for when he was on the pitch. MOM.

Ref - 3 Joke. You could barely tackle without giving away a free-kick, even on perfect challenges, poor decisions from lino's at time too. How the player who pushed Russell over which such force that he fell on his arse from the force didn't get sent off I have no idea. He raised his hands and in any other game would've been off, absolute joke. There was a challenge in the middle of the park which should've warranted AT LEAST a yellow, probably a red, but he got nothing in the first half too. JOKE.

  • Stephens - 8 Controlled and settled the midfield, bossed it for when he was on the pitch. MOM.

I feel this is spot on. He really staked his claim today, picked the ball up from deep and for the most part got us going with calmness on the ball. The majority of the second half was played in their half and we had 56 % possesion with almost half the game a man down, i think Stephens was a big part of this.

  • Hamer 7 Made a good save & took all the crosses cleanly.
Solly 8 MOM Another excellent performance
Morrison 7 Played well, although not at his best.
    Cort 7 Good solid game
Wiggins 6.5 Played well, but not his best.
Wagstaff 7 Played well & tried ever so hard. Has the edge over Green at present.
    Hollands 7.5 Good strong performance
Russell 4 Played decent, but lost us the game. Gave ball away for goal & then brought him down for the pen. Then sent off :-(
N'Guessan 6 Ok, but gave away unneccesary fouls, putting us under pressure.
Hayes 5.5 Started off brightly for 10 mins, then disappeared somewhat. I didn't see him jump once all game. Disappointing.
Wright Phillips 7 Play well & a lot of effort.
    Stephens 6 Ok
  • Hamer 7. Good saves, much better on gathering crosses. Great distribution as usual, just a shame the Kermo wasn't playing as N'G didn't win one of them. Shold have done his homework for the penalty and he would have made an easy save. Lucky not to get booked for complaining.

Solly 7. Usual strong performance - he must do a lot of upper body work. Never really troubled and playing some nice quick easy passes out of trouble.

Morrison 7. Becomming more and more a 'Charlton' player. Always look sdangerous when going up front and upsets the oppo in a professional way.

Cort 6. Solid if not spectacular, particularyl in the air. Even one classy dummy to send Novak the wrong way

Wiggins 7. Worked his socks off, including a superb track back to the right back position. Was in control trhoughout.

Wagstaff 7. Like Tuesday he looked a real threat, particularly in the first half. With no Kermo though it did seem a bit hit and hope with his crosses. Dangerous throughout and at least two fouls against him should have been bookings.

Hollands 8. Cool, calm and collected. If anything, he seemd to have more time on the ball when we were down to ten men. Should have scored in the second half though.

Russell 4. Too many mistakes and gave them the opportunity to gain the penalty. We've got him in fro experience and yet he gets set off for retaliation. Can't see him starting against the Os.

N'Guessan 6. Just another in a long line of average wingers/forwards we've had the pleasue of witnessing over the past five years. Will be a "can you remember....." player in a couple fo years.

Hayes 7. Difficult game for him to come back to. Caused their defence some problems without being as effective as Kermo. Some good skills and he would have scored if he'd been on for our last chance in the 90th.

Wright Phillips 7. Worked his socks off again and won some crucial tackles tracking back. Cannot see how anyone can have a go at his work ethic. Better the Rhodes IMHO.

Stephens 7. Would have been more if he had been on longer, but covered enough for two people when he came on. Difficult poisition for him to come on to, but like Hollans and Waggy, better than anything they had in midfield.

He can't start against the O's anyway he is suspended and also suspended against the Latics, the Saddlers and the Cumbrians and he will next be available for selection gainst the Chairboys.

But if that penalty trip had been at the other end would we have got it? Like hell we would.
