Surprised Solly didn't get in there.. similarly, a little bit surprised that Bradley Wright Phillips got in there at 6; not saying he's not a superb player, but you would've expected the goal drought to have had an effect on his rating. That said, despite what the negative nancies say - I think he works his ass off.
No surprises with the top 3 though, some good recognition for Johnnie.
The problem for defenders, is that good defences are generally down to teamwork and coaching, whereas strikers and goalscorers can stand out individually. Assuming the vote was a while ago, I'm surprised that one of Wiggins or Morrison didn't feature, Tomkins of West Ham was 5th in the Championship so must have stood out!

Despite the drought he still has 19 league goals I believe....
Solly? Kermorgant? Morrison? All three would have been slightly above Jackson, and far above BWP. And three MK Dons players when they've been 5th all season.
Keep in mind that players like Solly, Morrison etc very rarely steal the show. They're the sort of players you would need to be a Charlton fan week in week out seeing what they do in order to fully recognise their contributions.
From the outside, Wright-Phillips and Jackson are the ones banging in the goals and therefore will get the attention.
I'm actually surprised to see Jackson managed to pip Ched Evans to second place.
It's ridiculous. We're only halfway through March and the votes would have had to come in a couple of weeks ago when we were less than three quarters of the way through the season.

Couldn't agree more, ludicrous that solly doesn't make the top 10 good case for one or two others to have made it as well - wiggins, morrison, kermogant

NB no Wednesday players...
Proof they have no idea what they're going on about!
Wiggins should've been in the list.
