  • But who would have the courage to put their mortgage on survival or even on a West Ham win at the Valley on Saturday?

    Any takers? Thought not.

Dont sound like they are confident, does it?
I fancy a very tough n tight game but think (and hope) we will sneak it.
Still a long way to go and tonights game between Watford n Wigan could prove vital.
  • Our season starts tonight.
  • if wigan go 9 points clear with 11 games to go it will be incredibly difficult.

they have the Geordies on saturday at home which is winnable for them
  • I was supremely confident up until a few days ago..I don't think the Spain trip was the right idea. In a way that's rewarding the players for what basically has been a shyte season. I guess I am always pessimistic when it comes to a big game and a win is needed. Isn't that's what being a Charlton fan is all about. I hope I shake off this feeling soon.
  • hopefully the trip was about work not play, it was billed as a mid season pre season..

can see your point, but i don't think that was the motive. The motive i reckon was to get a change of surroundings, up the tempo of training and to try and foster increased unity amongst the squad. As long as no one cracked anyone with a golf club, hopefully that was achieved.

we take a spain trip and morale seems high with all the go karting etc.

curbs makes Hammers run around in the rain all day every day and players start moaning.

i know which scenario i prefer.

well actually that alleged incident seemed to do wonders last night for Liverpool and the players involved!
