  • that was doing the rounds after the spurs game
  • yer its an old photo
  • I dont think the players are with him if honest

    Tevez
    Kompany
    Silva
    Nasri

All seemed to look at him in contempt to take tevez off and leave silva on and replace him with the boy from everton was baffling

The city players dont like 3 at the back and have said it publicaly

    His time is up

    completely agree
  • Sheff Utd will come good.
  • No Appleton photo yet, for shame.

Mancini wont get sacked just for yesterday, it was one poor performance in a final against a team that probably hasn't put in a performance like that all season.

he should has his job questioned by their champions league performances.

An owner that spent so much money won't be kept happy by an FA cup, so can't imagine yesterday will have made much difference anyway. Can't see Mancini being successful in Europe, so think he needs to go.

Agreed. Mancini is also a serial whinger. What a contrast with his opposite number yesterday. Martinez portrays dignity, humility, integrity and humanity. If City's owners care about their image and legacy (as they claim to) then they should swap now. They'd be getting a much better coach into the bargain.
  • Times are reporting he will be sacked this week. Seems nailed on.

  • Talksport understands that Mancini has left Manchester City. Rumour rather than formal confirmation at this point, should think it'll be confirmed within the hour.
  • Mancini out ... Mourinho in ??
  • Sky saying he's gone
  • Pellegrini in...

Seems the rumours linking him to a job in Manchester were based on fact after all.
  • Gone, judging by the songs Utd fans are singing
  • Joke decision if he has been sacked, just look at the bloke who's just left the team down the road if you want to see where stability can take you.

If true this is a huge mistake by City, once you start sacking people who won you the League 12 months ago then you have taken a dangerous path.
  • Not just his failure this season to win something but more the manner of the failures. City don't even look a good team. With his resources that's not good enough.
  • Depends if the players don't agree with him any lOnger
  • Good article in the Times this morning on the decision to axe Mancini - in The Game supplement. It's the right move for City. Perhaps Mancini will learn something from the experience, but I doubt it somehow.
  • Yeah, great move, dump Mancini for another Italian who has never been involved in the English game, really visionary stuff.

English football at its worst and Lord Fergie must be laughing his Scottish bollocks off as he rides into the Sunset.

Man City and Chelsea can have all the money in the world but they have no class and never will under their current owners.

For a start, Pellegrini isn't Italian.

Secondly, look at what he did for Villarreal taking a tiny club to the CL semi finals. He was also 1 minute away from doing the same with Malaga this season too.

He also didn't do that badly for Madrid either, broke their points record but were still pipped for the title by Barca.

Not the point, is it? Its another case of a club getting trigger happy at the first sign of trouble, rather than back the manager they take the easy way out and sack him and keep the under performing players.

I wonder what the players will do if Pellegrini pisses them off? Or the board for that matter?

I will take any money you or anyone else likes that Pellegrini will be there no longer than three seasons before the next muppet gets appointed.

Once you dance with the devil.......
  • It will be interesting to see how Man U will react if Moyes has them at 4th at Christmas

With Fergie upstairs I'm guessing they will give Moyes time. He of all people knows that a manager needs breathing space and that the club needs stability.

  • Never mind the 60 million pound centre forward or the 30 million pound goalkeeper. The most important person at any club is the team manager. If he gets it right everything else falls into line. Mancini was given every tool possible in order for him to do a job for which he was earning a kings ransom and he couldn't deliver. He had to go.
  • Anyone know how long managers are in their jobs for on average in the other European Leagues? I'm guessing that we're no worse than Italy or Spain with the managerial merry-go-round. Probably better.

A greed - he had the best team/squad (after buying it) and he's since spent money yet gone backwards. Think they are right to change, think they need it.
  • He had to go.

    has he actually gone then?
