I hope the those who enjoyed the Stevanage game and came back for some more won't be put off now. Or is Bluewater a better place for the likes of them (snigger)

If people are only going to come when we win we wont get any new "supporters" unfortunately just floating tourists. Best off getting a season ticket at Man City or Barcelona if you insist on winning 3-0 FIFA Xbox football every game and even then they have lost games this season.
Just another example of instant gratification and success that seems to be demanded nowadays if that's the case. Some of my Charlton "supporting" mates very quick to comment on their statuses about "typical charlton" etc after yesterdays horror show despite not attending games regularly for 2 years.
Funnily enough their comments in praise of the side hitherto have not been as frequent. Agree that it's foolish to be rose tinted all the time and that was possibly part of our problem during our demise but I find it odd that the negative comments seem to outweigh the positive comments amongst people who fail to see the bigger picture like those I mention moaning on facebook. Perhaps some people just enjoy bathing in negativity or find it reassuring.

I always find that proper Man United fans always seen to be full of confidence about most things, such is their expectency of winning. Do typical Charlton fans tend to be negative sorts?
Likewise, if 50% of us made a forced effort to be overly optimistic/enthusiastic at the next home game, would this rub off on the players?
The other side of the coin:
Football is an entertainment business. If we aren't entertained then we won't be happy, and will moan given the first opportunity
Well said RCT, you also get alot of moaning supporters even when we win. We can't all be like Ned Flanders, but my advice to people is, if you are gana pay alot for a ST just to come to charlton to moan for 90mins whatever the outcome and display, then you are probably wasting your time and money. Im my eyes it doesn't count as 'support'.

If I was a casual fan, I'd have probably enjoyed yesterday more than a dull nil nil draw with no incident.
In reality, most fans of 'normal' clubs expect to lose regularly, we're hardly unique in that. Many clubs have got used to yo yoing between 2 divisions, winning lots of games in 1 division, then losing lots of games the next season after promotion. If Wycombe Wanderers get relegated, for example, most people would expect them to get promoted back up again next season, then struggle in L1 the season after that...
