Not sure I believe that Simonsen was that skinny. Some mistake surely?
  • Iwelumo
  • Chris Whyte must have been pretty tall
  • No way was the Ship only 6'2. He was 6'4", read it many times and was almost equal to Micky Droy at Chelsea who was 6'5" and probably the tallest of that era.
  • Think Conor Gough is taller than Nick Pope, I'm sure I read 6 ft 7 on the OS or in the handbook.

But neither have played for the firs team yet.
  • According to the o.s Conor Gough is also 6ft5in
  • Heaviest Player = Bob Bolder? That'll go down well in hospitality if he finds out! 'Who ate all the pies...........who ate all the pies..........still a great keeper though and top bloke to go with it.

Pretty sure that Gough is 6'7" and Pope is 6'5". Gough looks taller. Neither have played first team though.
  • Seems I weigh the same as Jason Lee who at 6ft 3in is 6 inches taller than me. He must have been very skinny ?
  • If Chris Solly is really 5'8" what does he think of the North Stand singing, "He's only five foot three?"

  • "Chris Solly Solly
    He's only five foot eight
    He's better than Terry Waite
    Chris Solly Solly"
  • Kevin Dickenson was surely the smallest?
  • He could grow an inch.......

    "Chris Solly Solly
    He's only five foot four
    He's better than Bobby Moore
    Chris Solly Solly"
  • Seem to remember Graham Tutt being quite tall.

I think that it was Graham and Johnny Harrison that we had in the same team that once featured as the tallest and shortest in the league at the same time. Often wrong so happy to be put straight.
  • Kins and me are similar height and weight...#nolongerashamed
  • Miguel Llera was 6'4" (probably still is!)

And Michael Smith (1 first team game) is about the same.

Therry Racon couldn't have been very tall, because he could totally disappear in a game.

Thankfully he doesn't go missing like Waite.

There was a Terry Waite Special dish in a curry house in Blackheath..... bread and water!

  • Sam Lawrie was short, classic right winger, great to watch.
Nice one. He was small and he was fast and he could dribble that ball past 6 foot defenders with ease. Great player

Anyone mentioned Long John Hewie Yet??
