If Portsmouth do fold as a club

would that mean 4 teams would get promoted from league 1 ?

    I think 3 get relegated from league 1 but 3 still go up.

    Only 2 will come down.

    That still leaves a gap in League One though. As Pompey going out of business will mean only 2 go down but 3 come up.

    Celtic can take there place. The scotish Premier is about to be finished anyway.

    2 down from champ + portsmouth going out of business = 3. 3 up from league 1 but nor sure how it works to fill the 1 team missing in league 1.

    If it were to happen, a play off between the highest team in League One that don't go up (i.e. 3rd unless 3rd win the play-offs, in which case 4th) and 3rd bottom in the Championship would be quite good.
