Are they having a laugh with these clowns?

Totally terrible , what the hell are they teaching them at sparrows lane. Can't even get the basics right.

if they dont sort it out soon im gonna buy a ticket for the front row and come dressed in my gary glitter costume
  • The young people of today...when I was a lad...

They are a bit slow though
  • When Hamer had to run across to fetch the ball, the kid was staring into space in the opposite direction!!
  • When did Jimmy Hill sign up on here!!
  • Got to admit they all look half asleep. Especially those in front of the east stand.
  • One of the problems with evening games. The younger and more enthusiastic ones are tucked up in bed. Remember seeing a game on TV a year or so back and the ball rolled off the pitch and stopped about 3 feet from the ball-boy, who didn't notice as he was texting someone.............
  • They need to bring back the cane.
  • They need to bring back the cane.
most teenagers round my way are already snorting it.........................

  • Oh so you're blaming defeat on ball boys lol
  • Are they too small?
  • why that one in front of the North didn't get on the end of Wiggins' cross to make it 1-2 God only knows.
  • to be fair to those making comments on here they were noticably poor last night to anyone who was at the game, whilst its not why we lost it does need addressing, they just didnt look interested. Someone behind me said there were none because it was a school night and I believed them until I spotted one hunched up not paying attention to the game. They could have assisted speeding the game up just like the Col U keeper slowed it down (not a critisism but an observation)

Being a ball boy should be an honour not a chore, I'd do it for nowt! I am sure that CP or his team will have a word before Saturday
  • It was strange thay all looked asleep!
  • It was strange thay all looked asleep!
    Conspiracy theory?
  • Part of the Colchester game plan, we have been that good that teams have taken to drugging our ball boys!!
  • I thought they were stuffed until one got out of the way when the ball came near him. Couple of minutes later he even got the ball back on the pitch.
  • I used to be a ball boy in the Selhurst days, it was a honour. I think they may use youth players now, it's sad as they look like they cannot b arsed.
  • Im sure a couple of seasons ago they had more enthusiasm. They hardly looked primed to leap into action if the ball came their way. the one near the half way line by the east definately fell asleep. to be fair, after the incident in the 1st half where no one bothered to get the ball, a guy positioned another guy in front of the East nearer the corner, but even he slumped down on the black cover. the one in front of us was shivering all game, in his thin tracksuit with no gloves. poor lamb!

Someone should submit their Haribo for analysis.
  • We had multiball (now banned) a couple of years ago, so as soon as a ball went out of play, a new one was thrown in. Who was responsible for this, was it young ball boys or adult club employees?

    Quoted for truth.

Yes you're right ' killer' the multi ball system is no longer allowed by The Football League. Though I'm not sure if that's also the case in The Prem?

  • When I was a ball boy many moons ago at selhurst we was told to take our time if we were winning and be as quick as possible if losing!
  • When did Jimmy Hill sign up on here!!
Blackburn v Liverpool. Remember it well

During the multi ball era, the ball was returned as quickly as possible, even if we were clinging on to a 1-0 lead with 5 minutes to go! No wonder we never did very well...

  • Don't get me started
  • Nothing new-they've been a joke for years.
