  • Hamer - 5 Had one thing to do, made a mess of it. No chance on the first
    Solly - 9 Getting better
    Morrison - 7 Good show
Taylor - 6 May have been at fault for the first, sent Solly wide when he was trying to close down Wordsworth
Wiggins - 7 Good job, ploughing a lonely furrow on the left
Green - 5 If Waggy had this many dreadful games there'd be calls for him to be sent to the Bastille. Those looping long throws are crap.
Hollands - 6 Not particularly effective. Better long throw than Green though as they are a lot flatter.
Stephens - 6 Some classy touches
Jackson - 6.5 Played quite well, tried to get it down, but again abandoned his wing too much. At one point Wiggins was bombing on and Jackson wandered into the middle looking to add to his goal tally, leaving Wiggins to deal with three defenders.
BWP - 5 One of his worst games
    Kermorgant - 7 Won everything

    Morrison - 6
    Taylor - 6
Wiggins - 5, not on pace of game
Green - 5 his corners poor and most of his crosses. He cn not tackle.
    Hollands - 5
Stephens - 4 had a bad nigt, slow and caught with the ball to often.
    Jackson - 5 below par.
    BWP - 5 very average.
Kermorgant - 6 Not at his best but fought for every thing
    Haynes N/A 6, did make a difference.
The starting eleven looked tired, maybe they are running out of steam.

  • Hamer - 5.5 We do play through him a lot and generally he does well with his kicking. Not his night and may have been feeling his knock from Saturday. He'll be ok.
Solly - 8 Very impressive first half. Really good at cutting inside and opening up space. One of very few footballers I've ever seen say "thanks" when given the ball by the crowd.
Morrison - 7 Couldn't have been too bad because they barely had a shot.
Taylor - 7 Won some good clean headers.
Wiggins - 7 Lovely deft ball over the top for Hollands. Plugged away and showed excellent control.
Green - 5.5 Not his night but did have one very good shot from distance.
Hollands - 6 Could do with a goal. Quite a physical battle in midfield but gave his all.
Stephens - 6 He seems to be looking square or back as his first option. Wasn't too bad though and he could develop into a fine player (like Kinsella?)
Jackson - 6.5 Some good control and link play. Just couldn't find the killer cross into a packed box.
BWP - 6 One or two reasonable chances but generally heavily outnumbered in the box.
Kermorgant - 7 Gave everything but quite often was still outside the box when the crosses came in. Very even contest with the Col Utd centre-backs.

  • Hamer - 5 Loses a mark for the goal
Solly - 8 Once again our best player last night
Morrison - 7 Generally solid as usual
    Taylor - 7 Morro's 'twin' , a good performance
Wiggins - 7 got forward and achieved good delivery when necessary
Green -6 Maybe Waggy needs to come back to freshen things up , when he does deilver it is effective
Hollands - 7 Kept going maybe needs a rest
Stephens - 6 As the thread above suggests I'm not sure what he does atm . Like to see Hughes or Russell next game .
Jackson - 7 Still not match fit
BWP - 6 Average they marked him well
Kermorgant - 7 Always does his defensive duties well so gets an extra point

  • Had a quick scan of ppls scores - some seem well below what I personally saw out there, is this the usual 'we lost so means we must have played badly', because we didn't? Or I can't mark anyone above a 6.5 as we lost a game at home?? Bizare, anyways;

Hamer - 7 (mistake for the second buti'll let that go his ditribution really is excellent)
    Solly - 8
    Morrison - 7
    Taylor - 7
Wiggins - 6.5 (worst ive seen him for a while, looked a little tired)
Green - 6.5 (starting to get the unneccessary abuse, ala BWP, he's a winger in league one, he will be inconsistant, thatsd why he's playin in league one)
Hollands - 6.5 (quietest I've seen him for a while, although little unlucky not to score)
Stephens - 6 (seemed to be siting too deep)
    Jackson - 6.5
BWP - 7.5 (worked his socks off, shoudl ahve burried wiggins cross, and should have had atleast one if not two pens)
Kermorgant - 6.5 (the beast lost some battles in the air, something I never thoguht was possible until now!!)

    Haynes N/A
    Clarke N/A

All in all defense and attack I thought were fairly spot on but massivly lost the midfield battle, that said we must have put in 20 decent crosses into the box, how they never fell to one of our players is a complete mystery. Our goal should have stood, should have had 2 clear pens, and they should have been down to ten with their players warned yellow carded and warned and then warned some more, in one instance the reff went to get something (a card) out of his pocket the player turned his back, reff realised he'd already been booked and left it, complete and utter shambles. Oh well because of our early and mid season form, and sheff united losing last night didn't really matter losing so much, still we really should be 16 points clear of 2nd now not 13.

Guess we used all our luck up last wknd!!!

SCP -3 ( sorry to critisise God, but did I see him standing with Haynes waiting for the clock to reach 70 minutes ? )
  • Hamer 6.5 - Good game, but for the second goal for which he lost half a point.
Solly 8 - MOM, some of his first half play - particularly the pass to Jacko - was sublime
Morrison 7 - Solid as ever
Taylor 7 - Solid as ever, talks a lot to the team.
Wiggins 7.5 - untroubled defensively, played well up the pitch
Green 6 - started like a demon but in the end was a surprise he wasn't subbed earlier
Hollands 6.5 - midfield not at their best, does he need a game off?
Stephens 6 - usual mix of sublime passing, giving it away cheaply and slowing the game down
Jackson 7 - clever player, so nearly scored first half
    BWP 6 - needs a goal ;-)
Kermorgant 6 - Colchester's big boys at the back managed him very well.
