  • Think we'll end on 91, hopefully that will be enough
  • Winning by 1 point from Sheff Utd (94 to 93), Huddersfield and Weds both finish on 89 pts
  • If all our rivals win the rest of their games 2-0 (with the higher team winning each time) we will need to win our home games and draw the away ones. (4 wins and 3 draws) to get level. Goal difference will then take effect.
  • 1. Charlton 97
    2. Sheff Utd 93
    3. Huddersfield 88
    4. MK Dons 87
    5. Sheff Wed 87
    6. Stevenage 76

I predicted us winning the league by four points with wins against Leyton Orient, Walsall, Wycombe and Hartlepool, and drawing with Oldham, Carlisle and Preston. And me being a half glass empty person I think that's being generous. The other teams around us have tougher games which may help us along our quest for glory. We can all but hope?!

    1 Sheffield United - 91
    2 Charlton - 90

    3 Sheffield Wednesday - 89

    Scary
  • That is scary. Presumably that involved us winning on the last day. Very scary.

  • Looking at the posts following mine, I WAS being optimistic.
  • Sheffield Utd 95pts
    CAFC 92pts
    Massive. 87pts
    Hudds 86pts

I feel like I was being pessimistic, so now feel more optimistic (if that makes sense)

  • I just hope we can cobble 3 wins and a draw (10 points) from our last 7 matches which would take us to 92 points and automatic promotion in my view.

If that isn't enough then good luck to whoever finishes above us.

    They deserve it.

  • I've got

    Charlton 101
    Sheff Utd 95
    Hudders- 89
    Sheff Wed 88

A bit too optimistic but just looking at our fixture they aren't the hardest in the world and can't see us losing that many of them
  • 100 points, the gap seemed to go down to 8 points occasionally, and that was being pessimistic
I see us finishing on 93 now, with Sheffield W getting 92 and Utd on 90

I honestly think that the four of us are a long way ahead of the rest in terms of quality and we're all going on a run now before the end of the season. Think that Huddersfield will beat Wednesday at home though which will be the game that consigns 'the massive' to the play offs.

Southampton (won 9 of last 10) and Huddersfield (won 9 of last 12) went on excellent end of season runs last year - Brighton had to keep their nerve to stay ahead of Saints!

I think I've done it reasonably fair but when I saw we would the league by 8pts you immediatly think you are being over generous.

Oh well let's see what happens.
  • Everyone (except stackitsteve) has 92 points as good enough for 1st or 2nd

I'll go with that as a target - let's see if that moves over the next few weeks and how quickly we can get there
  • had to do it again due to recent results...we win with one point and a pretty healthy goal difference.

cant wait for the 17-12 win against Hartlepool.
  • If you had the power to put in predictions that would then come true, would you have us steamroller everyone or nick it with a 97th minute winner against Hartlepool?
