Who is going up with us?

  • Sheff Utd, followed by MK Dons in the play-offs
  • I've been looking at the run in for the teams below us, and MK Dons could - I know it is very unlikely - win all their games. The hardest games they have on paper, are against Sheff Utd and Carlisle, and both of those are at home.
Agree. Don't write off Franchise for 2nd place - they are handily positioned and capable of putting a winning run together.

  • Sheff Utd second with Steve winning the playoffs.
  • Wolves and Leeds. Sorry, that's next season.......
  • Sheffield Utd and MK vs Bournemouth final, MK win... said it all along

No chance of Bournemouth getting to the playoffs now. Still got to play both Sheffield clubs and Hudds and already 8 points adrift whilst being surrounded by clubs with games in hand on them.

Agree with the Sheff Utd and MK shout though!
  • @Oriental_Addick
the 2 Sheffields, Utd automatic and Wed via the play-offs
I will bet you a reasonably large sum of money that this will not happen.
what is a 'reasonable amount' and @ what odds ?
    £50 at 3/1
I agree that 3/1 is the current market price for the Sheffield clubs to get promoted IN ANY ORDER. How about 6/1 for United coming second and Wed to win the play-off final .. I'll wager £50 on that, so long as you can afford the £350 payout IF I win the bet .. tell you what, as no stake money will change hands, I'll waive the stake repayment and call it a straight £300 .. That is I wager £50 at odds of 6/1with you that Sheffield United finish SECOND or FIRST in the 1st Division and that Sheffield Wednesday will win the play-off final, irrespective of what position they finish in the final 1st Division table. If I lose I owe you £50, if I win, you owe me £300 .. pounds sterling of course in either event. B T W Charlton are 1/100 for promotion, not necessarily to win the division, so although the original premise was for the three promoted teams, as we are SOOOOOO far ahead, our promotion is pretty much a nailed on certainty, I suggest the bet is a straight double concerning the two Sheffield sides
  • Weds and Carlisle.
  • more interested in who's coming down from the Premier League, nice trip to Villa Park anyone?
QPR is a good beer up

    more frigging north-west games.
    Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan.

    Great.

  • Sheff Utd and Stevenage.
  • Are we going up or something?
  • Dunno .......but we are only 17 points clear of 3rd place, with 12 games left.

  • its just brilliant not having anything to complain about, not that i would be cause i am ever the optimist!! i just wish crystal palace was a glass shop instead of a sainsburys roof.

    Hmm... Sounds a bit shaky...
  • I think Sheffield Utd will be runners up with Huddersfield beating Wednesday in the play offs, but I'd rather the Terriers got the autos so that Utd could beat the Wendies in the final.
  • I think United will get the other auto. Really not sure about the playoffs. 3 of those teams have recently changed their managers so it depends how that goes. Obviously, one of Wednesday, 'udders, MK, Notts County, Srevenage and Carlisle. I'll go for 'udders with the Wendies crying for another year.

Max I'll go is 5/1. Sheffield Utd have their destiny in their own hands and Sheffield Wednesday have the travelling legions backing them, be it at Hillsborough or Wembley.

Just to reiterate that bet is Sheffield Utd first or second, Sheffield Wednesday to win the play-off final.

  • On basis of skill and level of football played, I would hope Sheff Utd and MK Dons, but frankly i'd prefer the Franchise not to...

Tonight is going to be extremely important for Sheff Utd- They have a patched up dfence and are starting a run of 3 consecutive away games. How they come through tonight and then the other 2 will go a long way to showing how things will end up.
  • Have a feeling Notts County might sneak into the top 6 and then win the play off final.
So, Sheffield Utd and Notts County going up with us.
  • Notts county will be dealt a blow on Saturday though,
  • @Lincsaddick I figured you would disappear into complete silence. For the record the bet is only on offer until 6.45pm GMT today.

No thank you, 5/1 is absolutely fair. Still, I imagine you won't be running off to the bookies with that bet any time soon.

It's not easy to find a bookie who'd make a market on that bet .. if I find 6/1 or better, I'll have a dabble
  • 7/2 for them both to be promoted.
  • Leeds Leeds Leeds Leeds
  • Groupie
