And Another One Bites the Dust....

edited March 2012 in General Charlton
Tranmere Rovers have parted company with manager Les Parry, after over two years in charge at Prenton Park. ...BBC
This guy had been their physio, what did they expect? Could at least have given him his old job back. A cruel "industry" sometimes.

He's most famous for wearing shorts while sitting in the dugout .. in temperatures of - 2 degrees centigrade or whatever .. another physio appointed because the club is too skint to appoint a proper manager .. pity about the job though, he's been there for a long time
  • There has to be some form of effective "revenue sharing", the foundation of this sport, the little clubs like Tranmere, is collapsing, it seems.

Tranmere is the nearest club to me and this is sad news especially when they have been under the shadow of their big Liverpool brothers for years. The team have not won in 2012 but I hope they pull out of this mess even if they gave us two frustrating games. They are not as bad as Oldham whose fans are getting delusional about getting to the playoffs. Twa*s
  • They've got two points off us this season. Powell out
  • I like Les Parry but the not the anti football he got Tranmere playing.
  • Always seemed a good character, did a decent job with limited resources
  • Who wants Mourinho, we've got our physio.....

Don't forget he took over from John Barnes who'd tried to get his players playing total football when they were less capable than the clowns who turned out for us last year. Parry took a pragmatic approach and saved them from relegation. He had a good record against us and understood how Tranmere had to cut their cloth. Feel a bit sorry for him to be honest, but then after the sackings of Clark, Megson and AVB I don't think anyone's safe.
  • 1 win in 19 I think, good job they had a alright start otherwise they'd be in trouble, so not too surprising.
