  • Hoping to head along to support my brothers missus who is running it for the first time.

I've previously watched around Temple which was pretty good. I like the idea of the Porters Lodge though, can take my darts along and have a pint :)
  • Good luck to everyone taking part.
  • Cheers Off it
  • picked up my number on Thursday. good luck to all who are doing it, and a quick thanks to all those heading on to the streets to provide support. Having done the race before I know how much difference you make to a runner when going through a bad patch.
  • Good luck to everyone doing it

I did it last year and it was the hardest thing I've ever done

    Never again...

  • Watching it on TV,always brings a tear to my eye.Ran in the 3rd London Marathon and other races.Enjoy the day to all who run in it .
  • Can't tell you how glad I am to have a game to watch this afternoon! Officially very nervous now. COYR make this a weekend to really remember!
  • Will be at the start in only 12 hours time!!!!!
  • Had to withdraw in the end because of a knee injury, so am very jealous of everyone taking part.

    Good luck all.
  • Yes, good luck to everyone running tomorrow .

Mr F ran in 1986 and finished in just over 3 hours. One & only time he gained a place.

We always used to watch from some point on the course but since his malignant melonoma and subsequent lymphodema , when he had to stop pounding the pavements altogether, it upsets him to much. Really misses his running , even though it came to a premature end almost 18 years ago.
  • Anyone know the numbers for the Charlton fans and michael slated
  • Just had a birds eye view of the ground with the women running past it. Looking mint. The ground that is! Good luck to all those running it.
  • Lovely view of the Valley just a few mins ago and we got mentioned twice and how well we have done!

You can get the numbers if you enter their names on the website.

  • and here's the man who got the pitch looking so good from the helicopter
  • Haven't run for about 20 years.
I have to go to work today near Warspite Rd and will have to walk the final mile or so.
I've got myself fully hydrated and applied nipple cream, but it's still gonna be tough.
Hoping for a time of about 10 mins. Going to be sore in the morning.
  • Just seen Slats run past at limehouse. Pretty fit for an old fella :-)
  • According to the marathon website, he did the first half in 1hr 55mins and is on course for a sub 4 hr finish
  • That is good going. Just checked my friend's brothers time, 1.33. Fit.

Aahh...spotted that handshake yesterday! Two of my all-time Charlton heroes!! :-)
  • Did Mr Slater win it or what? Just got home, and don't know the result.
  • He ended up getting 4 hours 10 mins so just missed sub 4 but still a great time.
  • Stop Shouting made it round in 4 hours dead. Well played mate. ;o)
  • Saw Mr Slater outside Westferry hollered "Come on Demelza" at him and punched the air as he ran past, turning his head still trying to figure out who the nutcase was!
