picked up my number on Thursday. good luck to all who are doing it, and a quick thanks to all those heading on to the streets to provide support. Having done the race before I know how much difference you make to a runner when going through a bad patch.
Mr F ran in 1986 and finished in just over 3 hours. One & only time he gained a place.
We always used to watch from some point on the course but since his malignant melonoma and subsequent lymphodema , when he had to stop pounding the pavements altogether, it upsets him to much. Really misses his running , even though it came to a premature end almost 18 years ago.
Haven't run for about 20 years. I have to go to work today near Warspite Rd and will have to walk the final mile or so. I've got myself fully hydrated and applied nipple cream, but it's still gonna be tough. Hoping for a time of about 10 mins. Going to be sore in the morning.
Saw Mr Slater outside Westferry hollered "Come on Demelza" at him and punched the air as he ran past, turning his head still trying to figure out who the nutcase was!

I've previously watched around Temple which was pretty good. I like the idea of the Porters Lodge though, can take my darts along and have a pint
I did it last year and it was the hardest thing I've ever done
Never again...
Good luck all.
