I'm supposed to be meeting some Hammer friends before the game for a few beers, the problem is I don't know which pubs around the ground allow away fans, so if anyone does know I'd love some advise.
the rose is pretty friendly for a mix of home and away fans
the antigallican is a designated 'away' pub but not sure how you'll fancy being completely outnumbered in your own territory
the oak is pretty open to whoever before the game, as long as you don't mind squeezing yourself up against people
the bugle in the village is the only one i think that is specifically "home" fans only and requests a show of season ticket before you enter. i'd stick to the rose if i were you. friendly crowd down there, and if its dry, there are benches outside to stand and enjoy your pint.
[cite]Posted By: Ketman[/cite]When I meet away fans going to same game I normally give pubs around the ground a miss & go to Greenwich instead.
yeah, that or blackheath. the crown/o'neils are ususally a good mix of home/away and they have the early games on too with room to breath and a short hop on the train and you're at the ground in 10 mins max.
"2mins from my house, thanks for all your help guys."
Bloody hell you do live close. Why dont you have a charlton life party after the game and then get to know everyone? Better get plenty of magners in ................................. :-)
Indeed and I still manage to regularly miss my train to work!!

I can fit about 5 people in my poxy flat! Even then the dog has to sit in the garden
Last time was in 2002. It was getting too packed and not felt part of the clique. The "Bogle" was the next pub of choice along with its pi55 stained mattress. Royal Poke for me......id love to lamp that gimp who tells us to stand behind the line.
[quote][cite]Posted By: Ketman[/cite]Certainly will old chap. I suppose you & MCS will be scaring the whole of the Bugle again on Saturday with yours..![/quote]

By the station, away fans stumble off the train and fall into there
