Rumour that PH is being linked with the Forest job. Will be interesting IMHO because if its true and he decides to remain at our academy it might give us a clue to how he feels about the future of the club in terms of finance and not want to jump ship at the first opportunity.

We could do with the money this time around I suppose.
  • His last few outings as manager ended in disaster and were hospital passes as jobs, I can't see him risking a good job at Charlton for the Forest job.

Come on, if he gets offered that job there's a very good chance he's going to want to be First team manager of his former team where he might feel he has some unfinished business over being academy boss at Charlton ?
  • He might not want the day to day pressure and expectancy.
  • We haven't lost any of our star players most players/staff seem more than happy at Charlton. The only unhappy ones are the players that are not getting picked.
  • Well who knows, but his last few jobs as manager have been:

Portsmouth - appointed manager in July 2009...left the club by "mutual consent" six months later. QPR...appointed manager in December 2009...sacked a month later. Crystal Palace, appointed manager March 2010, left the club at the end of the season. Became manager at Swindon in March 2011, sacked in late April 2011 after winning one game.

At Charlton he has a secure no hassle job, proably getting a decent wage albeit he's most likely earning much less than he would as manager but given that Forest have been through three managers in the last season and clearly have interfering and clueless owners he'd be better off staying put.

  • When you put it like BlackForestReds has it really is a bit of a no brainer. Hope he stays.
  • I'm not saying he'll definately take it, I'm not sure he'll even be offered it. But if you try and pretend you arent a Charlton fan, try and look at it objectively - being manager of Nottingham Forest is a better job than running Charltons category two youth academy. I doubt anyone gets as far in their careers as Hart without being competitive and wanting to better themselves, I think you're doing him a disservice to say he might want to just ride things out on "easy street".
  • Well put BFR, make sure you take note PH if u

  • If Hart is offered the Forest job he'll find it hard to refuse

Completely agree, Hart is 60 years old - at this stage of his life he does not need the hassle and bullshit that is going on at Forest with their nutbag Kuwaiti owners.

The only people who would go to Forest at the moment are the truly desperate - they'll be swamped with applications!
  • If they offer him the job it basically depends on what we are paying him against what Forest will pay him. If there's a big difference he will go.
  • with Billy Davies 16-1 ON and Paolo Di Canio next at 7-1 and no sign of Paul Hart in the betting (Sky), I think it's fairly certain it won't be happening!
PS. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink @12-1 WTF!!!
  • Does his family not live in Nottingham?,if so perhaps it might be a great move,if offered the job.
  • All depends on a contract. Aged 60, if and when he gets the sack, it may finance him into retirement.
  • Forest are a mess - would not really want to go there.

Isn't JFH on the coaching staff at Forest?
