I think figures of 30-50k are gross underestimates. Look at the catchment area of the South East on England, add to that fans over the UK and then the world. Not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I live in France ;-), in 2 years of living here I've been noticed with my CAFC brolly twice and I've only had it open about 5-6 times! I wouldn't like to put a figure on it though........
To get 25000 going to the valley youwould need a potential, supporter base of over 200K.
Can I ask, is this based on any particular knowledge of ticketing or is it just a hunch? I'd be in the camp with those saying 100,000+ But expect that most of those would be quite passive. That is just a hunch though ;-)
